  1. I think it is good that the Club has shown some loyalty to Busch. Loyalty is a rare commodity these days. Actually, once again, I am impressed with the Promotion at Redcar.
  2. Yep - that's the one. Thank you very much for that.
  3. i) No Tactical Rides (I would say that wouldn't I). ii) League Champions would be League Champions ie. The Team that finishes top of the League over a Season. iii) For those who like the Play Offs - a seperate Competition. iv) A return to Two Valve Engines - less expensive to buy and to run. v) Thirteen Heat Meetings with a Second Half - to encourage youngsters and give them Track time and Competition.
  4. I know one Rider who was/is happy to ride in the wet and that is Hans Andersen. He went out and showed a Team of Riders (one who was an England International), on SKY Television, who were refusing to ride the Track a few years ago how it could/should be done. Sadly I can't remember where it was though.
  5. He was when he came to Sunderland back in the day. Shared a Taxi with him at a Crewe Reunion once and we got on really well. Great bloke.
  6. Yes - he has. He was a cracking Rider in his day. https://www.google.com/search?q=bert+harkins&client=firefox-b&tbm=isch&imgil=WyMv2ymWBpxa8M%253A%253BBHoAA13KbPg0SM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fedinburghspeedway.blogspot.com%25252F2013%25252F03%25252Fbert-harkins.html&source=iu&pf=m&fir=WyMv2ymWBpxa8M%253A%252CBHoAA13KbPg0SM%252C_&usg=__hKHqsrRzn8t1mIPP7Fo6xvJ2bR0%3D&biw=1440&bih=767&ved=0ahUKEwiI0IGR3I7VAhVqKsAKHR2hAfEQyjcIRw&ei=DNdrWYiaFurUgAadwoaIDw#imgrc=WyMv2ymWBpxa8M:
  7. At least I am in good company with my views. Bert is Spot On!!!
  8. Great News. Let's hope everyone can go forward together for the good of Cradley Heath Speedway.
  9. My views on this subject are well known. Speedway has never been the same since the advent of the 4-Valve Engine. It has changed things tremendously - and most certainly NOT for the better.
  10. Thank you for your efforts on our behalf Andy. It was indeed Tim who designed the Website for myself and scarletrider. I think he did a great job. Sadly I don't think we will ever find out the truth of what has happened here. We don't know the motives of those who have resurrected the Sunderland Site. We can only assume, from the Betting references on the Site, that it may have something to do with that. There were no references to Betting when we were running the Site in conjunction with Tim. Thank you very much again for your help with this. Best wishes. Ian.
  11. Thank you for that Andy. At least we can rule you out. It is all very confusing to a couple of Internet amateurs like scarletrider and myself. To be honest I am quite content to have the Website there as a reference source for researchers and also for myself. It is just so frustrating not knowing who is involved in this. After all - the Design of the Site, which I think is excellent (in it's proper form) was all down to Madweb Design - the Content of the Site was totally down to scarletrider and myself. Personally - I would just like to know what is going on here. Ian.
  12. Very best wishes with this venture. I wish you every success.
  13. Neither can I, and as I said earlier in the Thread, it could even be detrimental to attendances.
  14. Skid is at least trying something positive here. Small numbers yes. But crucially a reasonable reflection of the views of Speedway Supporters as a whole.
  15. This Osborne fellow seems to be a bit of a shark. Especially where stadia are concerned.
  16. Always reliable is Robbo. I too think he would be a good signing.
  17. We never had a Forum, simply because we didn't want to get in to that side of things with moderation etc. involved. I couldn't find the Webmaster either. So the answer to your question is a resounding no. All very mysterious.
  18. I totally agree with that SS. The problem is - do the Powers that be actually listen? Perhaps, if they did, Speedway would be in a lot happier place.
  19. I have just had a look around the Site as it is ome time since I have checked it out. Most of the, what I thought was foreign writing, seems to have disappeared. It seems as if someone is definitely working on the Site. I have no idea who they are or where they are doing this Home or Abroad.
  20. Yes - it was. It has all got me really baffled. However, on the plus side, as it is available, I see no problem using it as a reference source. The Stats and Facts regarding the various Sunderland Teams are correct as far as I can ascertain. There just seems to be some sort of odd writing has invaded parts of the text. I haven't a clue what that is about either.
  21. Ooops - sorry - it's late you know. It's still concerning.
