Stadium Admission Prices
The White Knight replied to Daniel Smith's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I wonder if you would say that if you were one (Pensioner). I somehow doubt it. It is largely PENSIONERS who are keeping Speedway going in this country and have done for years. Some Pensioners ARE rich, however, a hell of a lot aren't. You need to think about that. -

The most dangerous riders
The White Knight replied to Youhave2minutes's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes, I remember them well. There were some juicy battles between those two. I had a lot of time for Jack. Not so much Frank though, I'm trying to be charitable here. π -

Leave Jack out of this. He rode for Sunderland 'Stars' and, therefore, could not be dirty. π Hard, yes, but not dirty. π -

Defunct tracks and whatβs now built on their sites?
The White Knight replied to rearingtogo's topic in Years Gone By
Sunderland. Perfect for Speedway. Nothing, as far as I know, to prevent Speedway returning as the Greyhound Stadium is still there and much improved to what it was in the '60s and '70s. I would very much doubt whether any Promoters would be interested - but - the Stadium is there. -

Crumbs, you are right. I hadn't fully realised either. -
A must read for me: 1964 to 1974.

I would have liked to have 'Like'd this Post. Unfortunately, for some reason, I can't. I've been unable to for months, despite reporting it.

Would these tracks have reopened in 1964
The White Knight replied to Beirao's topic in Years Gone By
Ahhh yes!!! 1964 - The year Sunderland 'Saints' got 'stuffed' by their own Promoters'. Never forget - never forgive either. -
