  1. So has Mal McKay and 'Taffy' Owen.
  2. Not sure - but - I think he has retired.
  3. Apart from that it's OK then. :)
  4. Very interesting footage. First time I have seen one of those Racing Cars apart from in Books. Great to see one in action. :approve: Thank you very much for Posting this. Sadly - I have no idea which Track is involved.
  5. I noticed that myself. I didn't fancy another argument so I didn't comment. A SCOTTISH GP at Hampden PLEASE!!
  6. While 'youse' is on about it - what about Joe Hughes.
  7. Dougie and Willie Templeton, Jimmy Tannock.
  8. Airey was better than Crump senior. :approve:
  9. I had forgotten Jim Airey - he would HAVE to be in the Top Ten Aussies. :approve:
  10. Top Russians for me would be Igor Plechanov, Boris Samorodov and Gregori Chlynovski. I would also put Greg Hancock ahead of Bruce Penhall and Sam Ermolenko for the Americans. That would be my trio of top Yanks.
  11. Was that just if he fell off???
  12. This seems to be a recurring theme.......................................
  13. At least I can still get my Bovril at Newcastle. :drink: The Drinking Smiley is the closest I could get to Bovril - the liquid is Black. :t: (Ooops - can I say that?)
  14. Not a lot here for us Brits to cheer. Oh for those heady days of the '70's, 80's etc. :approve: Once we RULED the Speedway World - now we have to rely on a GIFT even to get on the top table.
  15. Belle Vue, Hyde Road for me. :approve:
  16. I really am sorry to say this - but - I believe that Chris Harris should be dropped from the SGP at the end of the Season. He is a GREAT Rider to watch in League Racing, the trouble is that his performances in the SGP are becoming embarassing. Personally I am tired of WILLING Chris to pass other Riders - it rarely happens. T don't know wheter the problem is Chris, his Bikes or his Team but sadly he is not competative at present. If Chris is the best we have - and I believe he is - then I can see next year there being no British Representative in the SGP. Perhaps they may give him another chance because he is British. That would not be right as it would be keeping someone out of the SGP who is capable of doing better. SELECTION BECAUSE OF NATIONALITY IS JUST PLAIN WRONG.
