  1. Sadly this Letter appears to be only for Plymouth Supporters. Would it be acceptable for folk to alter the Text so that Supporters from further afield could support you in this endeavour?
  2. I like Jason King a lot - but - he does seem to be very unlucky with injuries.
  3. I like the look of this Team - but - with only one change. I would have Paul Starke in the Side ahead of Jason King. He is a fast developing newcomer to the Premier League who has not let us down this Season. I reckon we could have a real Star on our hands in a couple of years - it would be nice to see him refine his skills at Newcastle. Nothing against Jason - but - it is taking a risk with his injury situation.
  4. More bad News. We must keep our fingers crossed. It would be really sad to lose 50% of Speedway in Scotland. Very best wishes to all at Armadale.
  5. I know I keep Posting this - but - Erik Gundersen has already offered to help British Speedway with the youngsters. The 'Powers that be' just won't take him up on it. Very short sighted and sad in my opinion.
  6. Yes - this is where we are lacking. We need to get Track time for youngsters much more freely available. Difficult I know - but it needs to happen. Our (British) youngsters start of at a disadvantage from day one.
  7. I would have preferred it if you had said he was BRITISH.
  8. How right you are. I always thought Sport was about competition What do I know................................?
  9. Keeping my fingers etc. crossed for Saturday. I'm hoping the eighteen Points will be enough.
  10. Well - for those unhappy with Tai - we should have a proper qualifying System like they did years ago. That way Riders would Qualify if they were good enough and if they weren't - TOUGH!! Gifting people places on a whim does NOT seem to me to be the right or fair way to arrive at a World Champion. BUT - this is Speedway.
  11. I hope that you will take my word for it that I would feel EXACTLY the same about the 'Play Offs' as I do today. Any League Winning Team having lost in the 'Play Offs' has been robbed, be it Newcastle, Redcar, Plymouth or whoever. Saying that they knew the Rules at the start of the Season simply does not wash. It does not make those Rules morally or ethically RIGHT!!
  12. Please read my original Post properly - I stated that I didn't give a hoot about the 'Play Offs' and I don't. I don't recognise the 'Play Offs' Winner as League Champions. To me they are only 'Play Off' Winners. You might not like it, the BSPA might not like it - but that is how I feel. I do know that others feel the same way I do so it is not just me.
  13. WOW!! How is that for gratitude to the two main Riders (look at the number of Points scored) who won us the League this year. I, personally, don't give a hoot about the so called 'Play Offs' - and I know a lot more who feel the same. Robson, for me is a must for next Season. The Worralls if possible, but I have my doubts as to their availability. Christian Henry, Claes Nedermark and Ludwig Lindgren and I am impressed with Paul Starke - if we need a '3 Pointer' he would be my choice.
  14. You really MUST learn to read Posts properly. I clearly stated that I was totally against the Double Points System whether it be for the HOME Team OR the AWAY Team (I notice you never copied that bit - I wonder why). It has nothing to do with where we came or come in the League - the System is just plain - WRONG!!!. By the way, as you accuse me of bias, perhaps I had better clarify my position - if Newcastle had got a Double Points Ride at Somerset that would have been wrong too. Just so you know.....................
  15. I must say Congratulations to Somerset on progressing in the Cup - Good Luck to them. ........................now for the League 'Play Off' Meeting. Once again I have to complain about Speedway and it's lack of credibility. First of all - we have to win the League for a second timein the 'Play Offs' - bloody stupid. Secondly the fact that we lost a vital Point last night because of the ridiculous Double Points System. Had Somerset not had the Tactical Ride - the 'Diamonds' would have won by the seven Points required to take the full Three Points. HOW MUCH LONGER IS THIS BLOODY STUPID SYSTEM going to be allowed to continue? I really do HATE this System and it is turning me off Speedway. It doesn't matter whether it is the Home Team or the Away Team that benefit - I HATE it. It is unfair, gives a false impression and could now have cost us the Premier League Title after it's second running (Play Offs).. I have spoken about this to a lot of Supporters, from both Home and Away Teams, and apart from the odd person, the vast majority are against this Rule. To me it is about time that Speedway got itself in to the real World where most people believe in fair play and a level playing field. By Somerset having a Double Points Ride (when Newcastle never had the chance of a Tactical Ride). they ''won' the necessary points to clinche a precious League Point.. How pathetic is that? Regarding the 'Play Offs' I have only one thing to mention. A couple of years ago Poole were TWENTY SIX Points ahead in the Elite League. Come the 'Play Offs' they have a couple of 'off nights' and are beaten by Coventry who are declared League Champions - what a JOKE. I sometimes wonder who is running Speedway - the BSPA - or - SKY Television.
  16. Agreed. :approve: Injury free Meetings I hope. C'mooon the 'Diamonds'!!!
