Reluctantly I have to go along with the majority on this issue. I think Neil Middleditch is a very good Team Manager for both Poole and TeamGB. I believe that if he made the remarks attributed to him, then his position is untenable with a high profile position like Manager of TeamGB. As such he should resign.
He should still carry on as Manager of Poole though.
You know Dean Machine - I think you just about covered it there. EXCELLENT Post. :approve:
You are right about the 'laydowns' too - if a little understated.
Well said Arson. If I was younger- I would be there, but arthritic hands have put a stop to that.
I used to work on the track at Boldon when Sunderland were running.
Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochrane, Marty Wilde, Bobby Darin, Elvis, Lonnie Donegan, Tommy Steel, Dion and the Belmonts, The Everly Brothers and Johnny Cash - the list goes on.
I thought Hank Williams was great too - but he was the 40's.
I have my doubts as to if it will be shown. There may be some highlights somewhere but I'm not even sure about that.
I don't like the GP System - but - I am a bit of a hypocrite - it IS Speedway after all.
I don't know about anyone else - but - I am learning a tremendous amount from all of these Posts on this Thread. I hope it keeps going.
GREAT Thread - and thank you to everyone taking part in the Discussions. :)
..............apart from the Paying Public paying MORE for their Speedway.
The Costs are always passed on - Rider to Promoter, Promoter to Supporters - and they wonder why Crowds are dropping.
Ultimately Speedway NEEDS to be cheaper to participate - not more expensive. Everyone chasing faster times seem hell bent on sending the Sport faster to destruction.
It will also make the Sport more dangerous than it is now - I don't know about everyone else - but - I've had enough of seeing Riders get hurt.
As I understand it the SKY money stays in the Elite League with a little sweetener every now and again for the Premier League when one of their Meetings are shown.
