  1. This seems to come up regularly these days. It's a shame because when Glyn Taylor looked after the Track I thought it was great.
  2. I thought someone said he was only twenty three - if he needs a 'Carer' he must be getting on a bit.
  3. I don't agree. I think that as long as it is not overused it is good. Something a bit different. Well done to SKY for trying to vary things a little. :approve:
  4. Only time will tell where Ward ends up. Champ - or - Chump. We must wait and see.
  5. I thought that's what Councils did.
  6. I saw some of them at Newcastle on Sunday - I actually remarked at the presence of 'Vikings' Supporters. Good to see. :approve:
  7. ................ and this is precisely why I will not go in to Sunderland City Centre on a night time. I am not against young folks enjoying themselves - but I resent very much that, to people like myself (older types), the City Centre is a 'no go' Area. It should not be that way - it was not in my youth - granted there sometimes was 'bother' on a Saturdeay Night - but it was nothing compared to today. It is not just Sunderland either - from what I read and hear it is the same throughout the Country. Sadly saying "THAT'S LIFE" is not good enough - it shouldn't be this way. Live and let live I say - but - that includes ALL of us, both young and old alike.
  8. You want to try the Anderson's Pies from the Hut near the Pits. THEY are to die for. :approve: Congratulations to the Berwick Promotion for being on SKY.
  9. Is their any chance of Speedway returning - or - is that it as far as Reading are concerned? VERY sad News if this IS the end of the road. I sincerely wish all Reading Supporters the best for the future and hope a way can be found for the 'Racers' to rise again.
  10. I would just prefer to have a Track in Sunderland - it wouldn't matter to me if it was under floodlights or not.
  11. I had a 'chat' to Tsunami too - I DID mention Mrs. T. I STILL have the bruises.
  12. A very kind offer MartinH - but - why do you start TWICE.
  13. The Lad's recovering from a very badly broken leg. Give him a chance to Race himself back to fitness.
  14. Crikey!! - Now that WOULD be a Race. Only problem - the Crowd would need the Crash Helmets.
  15. It certainly would sidney - it certainly would. :approve:
  16. I am happy the way things are. It may be cold but last year if they had started later there is no way the Fixtures would have been fulfilled. I don't like standing freezing my 'bits' off watching Speedway, however, I would rather do that than have no Speedway at all. Leave it alone - at least we have the maximum number of weeks to get the Season completed.
  17. I'm off for my Blanket, Flask, Sandwiches and Fold up Chair.
  18. We ran at 1500hrs on a Sunday afternoon at Sunderland for a while. Actually it was quite good then - it worked well.
