Redcar Vs Berwick 18/04/13 @ 7.30
The White Knight replied to bandits 13's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This seems to come up regularly these days. It's a shame because when Glyn Taylor looked after the Track I thought it was great. -

I thought someone said he was only twenty three - if he needs a 'Carer' he must be getting on a bit.  -

I don't agree. I think that as long as it is not overused it is good. Something a bit different. Well done to SKY for trying to vary things a little. :approve: -

I saw some of them at Newcastle on Sunday - I actually remarked at the presence of 'Vikings' Supporters. Good to see. :approve: -

................ and this is precisely why I will not go in to Sunderland City Centre on a night time. I am not against young folks enjoying themselves - but I resent very much that, to people like myself (older types), the City Centre is a 'no go' Area. It should not be that way - it was not in my youth - granted there sometimes was 'bother' on a Saturdeay Night - but it was nothing compared to today. It is not just Sunderland either - from what I read and hear it is the same throughout the Country. Sadly saying "THAT'S LIFE" is not good enough - it shouldn't be this way. Live and let live I say - but - that includes ALL of us, both young and old alike. -

I would just prefer to have a Track in Sunderland - it wouldn't matter to me if it was under floodlights or not. -

It certainly would sidney - it certainly would. :approve: -
I am happy the way things are. It may be cold but last year if they had started later there is no way the Fixtures would have been fulfilled. I don't like standing freezing my 'bits' off watching Speedway, however, I would rather do that than have no Speedway at all. Leave it alone - at least we have the maximum number of weeks to get the Season completed.

We ran at 1500hrs on a Sunday afternoon at Sunderland for a while. Actually it was quite good then - it worked well.
