Len Silver was always great entertainment back in the Seventies. When he opened Sunderland Speedway back in 1971 he always came on the Centre Green at Boldon with his Microphone and announced "Good afternoon everyone and welcome to 'SANNY SANDERLAND' - - even when it was pouring with rain.
I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference - Speedway Star is a WEEKLY Publication. Inside Speedway is a QUARTERLY Magazine. If you want to keep up to date with what is happening in the Speedway World then you buy Speedway Star. If you just want a general read about Speedway once in a while - then Inside Speedway is for you.
Sadly Sunderland is not mentioned on your List. It never is on anyone's List. Sadly I think Sunderland is a forgotten City as far as Speedway is concerned.
Very best wishes to all at Ellesmere Port - I sincerely hope that the Sport can be revived there.
Wrong!!!
Glyn ALWAYS produced good Tracks, and that is what we are talking about here.
Problem is, of course, if bad Tracks are produced regularly then folk will stop coming. That must be a concern to you - especially as one of your Riders is complaining about it to the point he is allegedly requesting the sack. See above.
I think this sort of thing bodes well for the future of Speedway coverage by SKY.
I just hope that a new Contract can be sorted out at the end of the current one.
I don't agree. I think that as long as it is not overused it is good. Something a bit different. Well done to SKY for trying to vary things a little. :approve:
