  1. Oh for the days of the British Leagues One and Two. :approve: Happy days. :approve:
  2. We shall see Tex - we shall see. I do hope for the continuation of League Speedway - it has been my passion for years. As I said earlier, you could be right but forgive me saying that I hope that you are wrong. :)
  3. The sad thing is that you could be right - but - I fervently hope you are not.
  4. EXACTLY!!!! What IS the matter with these people.
  5. To answer your question - because of things like what happened to those folk at Cardiff who couldn't get in to the Stadium. As you say - they are ALL Business - that might be OK in Business but in Sport you have to consider your Clients, the Customer. Not much consideration given here and certainly NOT the best image to present to the Public. There are also people who run the GP Series who have far too much say in what goes on in the GPs. I just think that their involvement does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the image of League Speedway at all - and THAT is where the Riders come from - I think they need to remember that - but they won't.
  6. Anyone know when there will be an announcement made about Television Coverage of League Speedway next year?
  7. Well I dont!! Having 15,000 empty seats making NO money - or - 13,500 (1,500 extra seats sold) possibly giving you at least SOME extra Revenue is a no brainer for me I'm afraid. If I was a Shareholder in BSI - I would be expecting them to MAXIMISE their Takings - I would NOT expect them to deliberately LOSE money - and THAT is what they were doing at Cardiff. I am still of the opinion that Speedway will rue the day that they ever got BSI involved with our Sport.
  8. You don't give up easily Robert - do you? I think we all have your message now - you don't like DH. He only brought Speedway back to Leicester. I wish to hell he had brought it back to Sunderland instead - WE might have been more grateful. THEN you would have had nothing to moan about would you? How would you have survived?
  9. I'm sorry - I didn't realise you had Piles.
  10. Probably because he was rubbish and came from Middlesbrough. No intention to infer bias there.
  11. Thank you 70sPM - I shall enjoy trawling through this Site. :approve:
  12. I believe they go round?
  13. Sorry. Risager went in to turn one far too fast, there is no way that Henry would have stayed on his Bike as, from where I was standing (the accident happened right in front of me) Risager could not possibly avoid hitting him and he would have ended up in the Fence. To be honest - I thought there WAS contact and that Henry got off quick to avoid injury.
  14. Problem is that the H&S and the environment people don't like it. We drag OIL up through the ground - but - we aren't allowed to put a little (very little) back. Good grief - they even have to have mats under the Bikes in the Pits these days. Bloody ridiculous.
  15. I was fantastically ENTERTAINED last night by two Teams determined to win the Meeting. Ben Barker was tremendous (I hope all of you Ipswich Supporters who have been getting on his back will now get off it). He was an absolute pleasure to watch. The Meeting itself was exciting with no more that two Points between the Teams all night and, in the end, a fair Result was achieved. I thought that the Referee excluding Christian was one of the worst decisions that I have ever seen whilst watching Speedway (nearly 40 years) - it really was shocking. A fair bit of passing too - for the benefit of those who complain about the Brough Park Track, which I thought was really good - certainly a lot better than the ploughed Field that they ran the British GP on.
  16. I don't think the BSPA have much say. They sold Speedway's soul to BSI years ago.
  17. WOT!!!! You have a Computer in the Lav!! Gross!!
