  1. I believe they go round?
  2. Sorry. Risager went in to turn one far too fast, there is no way that Henry would have stayed on his Bike as, from where I was standing (the accident happened right in front of me) Risager could not possibly avoid hitting him and he would have ended up in the Fence. To be honest - I thought there WAS contact and that Henry got off quick to avoid injury.
  3. Problem is that the H&S and the environment people don't like it. We drag OIL up through the ground - but - we aren't allowed to put a little (very little) back. Good grief - they even have to have mats under the Bikes in the Pits these days. Bloody ridiculous.
  4. I was fantastically ENTERTAINED last night by two Teams determined to win the Meeting. Ben Barker was tremendous (I hope all of you Ipswich Supporters who have been getting on his back will now get off it). He was an absolute pleasure to watch. The Meeting itself was exciting with no more that two Points between the Teams all night and, in the end, a fair Result was achieved. I thought that the Referee excluding Christian was one of the worst decisions that I have ever seen whilst watching Speedway (nearly 40 years) - it really was shocking. A fair bit of passing too - for the benefit of those who complain about the Brough Park Track, which I thought was really good - certainly a lot better than the ploughed Field that they ran the British GP on.
  5. I don't think the BSPA have much say. They sold Speedway's soul to BSI years ago.
  6. WOT!!!! You have a Computer in the Lav!! Gross!!
  7. Very - but they will justify it by saying that they can't afford to do anything else. They need to produce good Racing Tracks or Speedway will continue to haemorrhage Supporters. If they don't we are in for the long painful death of our Sport.
  8. I fear you might have hit the nail on the head with that one Matt.
  9. Sadly you may be right Mixy230 - I don't like the picture you are painting but it does resonate with me. .................................. and yet Speedway is B****Y GREAT!!!
  10. I still think 'some' money is better than 'NO' money being taken. That, of course, is MY logic - it obviously isn't BSI's. It would also have increased the Gate - by a negligible amount I agree but still an increase. I feel so sorry for those Parents who took their Kids to Cardiff expecting to pay the ADVERTISED Rates at the door and then being told 'No Concessions' those Children must have been VERY upset and disappointed - what an image to paint of our Sport. Not everybody can afford to pay Full Price for their Children - so they are virtually barred from the Stadium - NICE ONE BSI. To be honest I wish fervently that BSI had NEVER got involved with Speedway in the first place.
  11. I was down at Duxford watching Aeroplanes my friend. See you later. :)
  12. The point is Matt that they do give Concessions for Children already - so why put the block on at a certain number. It just doesn't make sense either logically or financially. They would rather have empty seats taking NO money than let the Adults in with their Kids and actually SELL those seats thus making money. BSI must be some business if THAT'S the best they can come up with.
  13. I am really looking forward to this Meeting. I had to miss the last Meeting against Scunthorpe so it's about FOUR weeks since I had my fix. I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms. (No Arson ). Hoping for a Win and a safe Meeting for Riders on both Teams.
  14. No - not sarcasm. I thought they did OK for a couple of fellows who are very new to commentating. They WILL get better - but it is like anything else - you have to learn to walk before you can run. I'm all for giving them a chance.
  15. Real shame this - I nearly gave up when the Speedway didn't start on time. On the plus side - I thought Scott Nichols and his co Commentator did OK. Overall I think they will improve with practice - I certainly hope so.
  16. GREAT WIN FOR REDCAR!!!!! :approve: BUT - Double b****y Points influencing the Result again.
  17. Very sad day indeed. Smashing Lad - thanks for the memories Vic. scarletrider is right - still fondly remembered here in Sunderland by Speedway folk. R.I.P.+
