  1. You are not actually - I too have enjoyed Speedway on SKY for years, and yes, their coverage IS fantastic - I have loved it. So I totally agree with you there. The trouble is that everything has a downside - I'm not sure how good for Speedway SKY has been. Because of them a number of daft Rules were introduced and also people found that they could watch their Speedway sitting comfortably in their Living Room without venturing out to their Track. This naturally affected attendances and the state of Speedway in this Country declined, to my mind, faster than if SKY had NOT become involved in the Sport. On balance - I think that League Speedway would have been better Supported by the Public had it never been Televised. ............................ and I may be in a minority of ONE on this issue.
  2. I just LOVE this GIVE a spot to a Pole. They should bl**dy QUALIFY!!! No matter what nationality they are.
  3. I can, as usual, find myself in complete agreement with you. .......................................... apart from a couple of issues.
  4. I have been supporting Speedway since 1964 and I have never seen a Rider react as quick as Andrew Tully did tonight. He laid down his Bike in a split second and I reckon stopped a bad situation being VERY much worse. He earned a Public Commendation from the Referee - and my goodness - he deserved it. :approve: Well done Andy.
  5. Well - at least you will NOT have to ask that question next Season Al.
  6. I do hope you are right Skidder1. If they haven't been planning really hard - then Speedway is in deeper doo-doo than I thought. If they are not paying the over priced Foreigners they could reduce their Prices at the Gate accordingly. Actually that may induce more Supporters to come along rather than less. Just a thought.
  7. All the best Josh - GO for it!!! :) Great work with the youngsters Tsunami.
  8. Some great Points to ponder here. I have certainly got food for thought. A super Thread.
  9. Arthur Browning picked up one or two injuries during his career.
  10. I like the cut of your jib there HT................................................... .............................................. as well as dropping the Double Points Rule of course.
  11. Have you heard about the constipated Mathematician Arson - he worked it out with a Pencil.
  12. Let's hope it's a good Meeting unlike the one sided International Meeting we saw. Preferably without any injuries. Anyone know how Stuart Robson is getting on? I hope he is doing well.
  13. Mark Loram is still fondly remembered in the Speedway World though. :)
  14. I would imagine that ALL copies of Crowd/Attendances would be securely lock away at the BSPA - certainly away from the Tax Man.
  15. If you are looking for tall Riders - how about Pete Wigley?
