  1. Humble apologies for my error. I didn't mean to upset anyone - but I can understand it. I have been called a 'Geordie' occasionally myself. As a 'Mackem' - OK Tsunami.
  2. I thought BT did quite well to be honest. Remember, this is their first year of transmitting Speedway. If they do it again next year, I am sure things will get better. They must be given a chance.
  3. One of the absolute major barriers to covers, apart from those raised by Tsunami, is Cost. There is not a lot of money in Speedway, there used to be, but not now. I would have imagined that the SKY money might have been spent on finding an answer for all Tracks to weather problems - instead it was spent on huge wages for Riders we really couldn't afford. Then again, I suppose it could be that there isn't an answer. It rains a fair bit in this Country.
  4. Well said Sir. :approve: Humphrey take Note.
  5. I always liked and admired PK as a Rider. It didn't matter to me who he rode for, he was wonderful just to watch. In Interviews on Television, my late Wife was always captivated by the Swedish voice with a Brummie accent. I too enjoyed listening to him. As a Sportsman he was second to none. I wish him every success in the future. I agree with all the compliments paid to him on this Thread so far. Thanks for the memories PK - and all the very best to you, you deserve it.
  6. Thanks for the information Aleksandr. :approve: Keep it coming.
  7. I have some sympathy with your viewpoint Tsunami - but Promoters do not endear themselves to their Public with the constant changing of Rules, and the twisting of said Rules when it suits them. If a Rule is brought in at the AGM, that Rule should stand for, at the very least, a Season (Preferably Five Years). and should be rigidly adhered to.
  8. No they shouldn't. Why the hell should our League be wrecked just to satisfy the Premiership? I tell you what though - the EIGHT Premier League Clubs could ask if they can drop down in to our League. They could accept Championship League Terms and Conditions and if they don't like them they can sod off. As I said earlier the Premier League is already Staffed by a load of Championship Riders, so why not - it makes sense.
  9. Can you get it in a Supermarket? I would like to see a copy before subscribing. W.H. Smith closed down in Sunderland.
  10. ....................... and the Championship. It is the top level of British Speedway that messes things up - not the aforementioned Championship.
  11. YES!!! I have been able to give you a 'Like' ff.
  12. I never thought of that. Could they actually do that?
  13. You are spot on ff. I remember now, that was certainly one of his ideas. (No Likes (still)).
  14. I know that Glyn Taylor, when he was at Redcar, had some good ideas on this subject. I can remember discussing it with him. I don't know if he ever came up with anything that came to fruition though.
  15. You are sooo right Fromafar. I have been shouting about this for years. What the Top League wants the Top League gets, and if that screws the Championship then - TOUGH!!! I wouldn't care - the Top League now is virtually a Championship League in itself. It is largely staffed by Championship Riders.
  16. Sorry mate - I didn't have time - I had to go out. Oops - could have looked again when I came back like.
  17. Those girls were very lucky. There could have been dreadful consequences if the Bike had hit them. Anyone know how the Rider is?
  18. Just let me know if you want any Tickets gustix
