  1. How far is that? I don't go in for this foreign crap.
  2. They are very nice people Alan - but - they are passionately independent. They remember the Founding Fathers, The War of Independence (from Great Britain) and the War of 1812. I don't think they would believe being accused of belonging to our Commonwealth was a compliment. Best Ian.
  3. Somebody had better tell the Americans. They are a bit sensitive about that sort of thing.
  4. Why do things in Speedway ALWAYS seem to go pear shaped.
  5. There you go Parsloes - over to you. Well said June01.
  6. Are you worried? I'm not. If it happens it happens - if it doesn't it doesn't. We must just be patient.
  7. I honestly don't know - is the answer to your question. I DO though back the Promotion - they have pulled many surprise 'hits' out in the past. Who knows? They may have done it again with young Rose - I certainly wish him well.
  8. This Team will NOT finish bottom. Unless, of course, injuries intervene. I am more than happy with the 'Aces' so far.
  9. About the sort of response I would expect from you Drac. Yes I am a Newcastle Supporter but I supported the 'Bears' for a long time - you cannot just ditch people like that. As it happens I would like BOTH Teams to do well. What I do NOT like is the hostility shown (though I have not seen it myself) to BOTH sets of Supporters at BOTH Tracks. I love my Speedway at Newcastle, I loved my Speedway at Redcar - remember - it was not my fault I left. I can no longer drive that far regularly these days - the Promotion (at Redcar) and I are now on good terms. I would prefer it everyone could get on - I still have a soft spot for Redcar. Bellers - you continue to live up to your Username.
  10. I wouldn't dream of knocking it - it does take skill as does Darts - but it isn't a Sport.
  11. No - he is talking sense. I have had a foot in BOTH Camps and there are people at BOTH Tracks that should kerb their behaviour - not just at Redcar and Newcastle either.
  12. They won't - unless catastrophic injuries take their toll.
  13. Not really - Tiddlywinks, Blow Football, and Snakes and Ladders spring to mind. You compete against others in those Games too.
  14. Right!!! As far as I am concerned - I have my opinion which I believe is as valid as yours. I was NOT offensive to anyone by saying that Dart Players are Fat and not Fit I was stating something I consider to be a fact. Being Fat does not necessarily prevent you from being good at certain Sports like Golf, Archery - however - by and large it is better if you are slim and FIT. Darts is a Game played in Pubs and has always been a GAME. In my lifetime I have seen a Pub Game taken by Television and suddenly it is turned in to a Sport - RUBBISH - it is still a Game. That is my opinion BW - you may not like it - but - I am sticking to it. Fancy a Game of Darts.
  15. Well BW - whilst you are having a go at me - you are leaving someone else alone. I take all the points for and against Darts being a Sport on board and on balance - I don't think it is. However - some things are all about opinion - I have mine, and you have yours which is just as it should be. I would never be so crass as to say that YOU are looking foolish or of talking rubbish if I disagreed with you, because that is not my debating style - very obviously it is yours. A great shame really as I do enjoy reading most of your Posts - but - you tend to lose your argument when you resort to name calling. I may look foolish to some - but at least I know how to debate properly.
