Both SKY and the BSPA want to hold us in suspense as long as possible. It's called Customer Relations.

Well I wish Mark the best of luck. I enjoyed watching him at Newcastle.

Pot and kettle spring to mind I'm afraid Blazeaway. I'm sure that you too could Post some decent Posts if you gave up picking on others. In fact I KNOW you can as I have 'Liked' some of them. -

Well - I have searched in vain for a mention of my favourite Track - SUNDERLAND. It really was a good little Track - 312 yards in length. A decent Stadium too, which is still in existence. I still mourn the passing of it along with: Hyde Road and Wembley. -
I used to travel by Train - now - I can't afford to. I think that says it all really.

I am very grateful to Phil for his running of the BSF. In some ways the Forum is my friend. I can always come on here and have discussions with various folks with different viewpoints. I enjoy the banter and the argument. If anyone attacks me personally - I have been known to come back at them - BUT - I do try to stay away from personal attacks. Often, during the week, I am at a loose end and the Forum is where I turn for company. I suppose you could say that this Forum acts as a Social Service in a way. It does for me anyway. (I know that some of you will think that I am a bit sad). Finally I would like to thank all the Posters on here for giving me things to think about - I have learned a lot, both about Speedway and also other things too. I hope that I can have many more years discussing issues both Sporting and Topical on here.

NOTHING happening on this Thread. SKY are saying NOTHING!! BSPA are saying NOTHING!!! So while we are waiting for those who treat their Viewers/Customers with such contempt we though it might be nice to talk about Table Tennis/ Ping Pong. The attitude of SKY AND BSPA certainly has more PONG about it. It's called the Mushroom Factor - keep them in the dark and cover them with sh*t. Aaaaahhhh!! THAT'S where the PONG came from.

Table Tennis by any other name is - errrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm - Table Tennis.

Cheers gustix - I've learn't something today. :approve:

Yes - thank you - I did not know that.

GREAT Avatar again Arson. :approve:

When I played Table Tennis for a Club - they were Table Tennis Bats - not rackets. However whenever I played a Match and couldn't go out with my Pals they used to take the mickey by saying - oh he's off to play Ping Pong. I always understood that this was a derogatory term for Table Tennis. I am open to being corrected if I am wrong.

Arson Fire - I have sent you a PM.

NO!!! You are a 'Geordie' - that is something entirely different.

I reckon that if all the people who got in for 'nowt' at Sunderland back in the 'Seventies' had paid to get in we would have lasted a lot longer than we did. I say this as someone who worked at the Track and on the Starting Gate at Meetings and who also Paid to get in. This was true of a lot of the Staff at Sunderland. We were unpaid, did not get Free Tickets (we were offered them and refused) because we wanted the Speedway to continue. We loved our Sport and our Team. I think that the 'Hangers On' cost us our Track just as much as the lack of Support following a VERY disastrous start to the 1974 Season. -

I believe it is because the Warders/Guards don't allow it.  -
I understood, from comments on other Threads, that 'a Promoter' had 'leaked' the fact that the Deal was done and that SKY were showing Speedway on their Channels in the new Season.

Seriously good value. Congratulations to the Peterborough Promotion for giving their Supporters affordable Speedway - let's hope other Tracks do the same in these times of austerity. :approve: -
