No - I agree with you. I thought he was a very good Rider.
Was talking to Ken Eyre at a Long Eaton Reunion last year. He is a really nice bloke who obviously loves Speedway.
I believe it will take time to restore our fortunes at International level. Roscoe must be given that time. I think Roscoe is capable of doing the job,, and doing it well - BUT - he will need the support of everybody - Fans - Promoters - Riders - everyone.
What is needed is a combination of Training/Coaching and patience.
Well I think this is a positive start from Roscoe. I believe that he has tried to strike a balance between youth and experience - everyone starts with a clean sheet.
Success won't come overnight - but giving some youngsters a chance cannot do any harm in my opinion.
Good luck Roscoe - I really do hope you succeed in reviving 'Great Britain''s Speedway fortunes. We really have been in the doldrums for far too long.
I really hope he does well in the new Season - nobody would be more pleased than me.
If he gets some consistency he might even keep the Number One Racejacket. Up until now his achievement has been patchy to say the least. Particularly Away from Home.
We shall just have to wait and see.
