  1. I don't agree with Betting on Speedway full stop. It can only lead to the further corruption of our wonderful Sport.
  2. Even I'm not that gloomy orion. It's still not too late - provided that the correct decisions are made at the top.
  3. It would be even better if there was a Washing Machine at the end of each Rink.
  4. They should have done ALL of that before announcing to the World that they were changing Systems and Format. Everything should have been worked out from an Operational, Ramification, Systemic and Administrative point of view. ONLY then should anything have been said. THAT is the only logical thing to do from a Business perspective. Precisely. They are both too dear - but at least you have a good idea of the type of Meeting that you are going to see in the Premier League, largely with Riders of similar abilities. You simply can't say that about the Elite League. The QUALITY of at least one third of the Elite League Races in a Meeting will simply NOT be up to an Elite League standard. My contention is that if the quality of Product has dropped that much - then so should the Price. This is my opinion - I accept it isn't everyone's - however, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
  5. If you cannot get a Sport like 'Squash Racquets' in to the Olympics - Speedway has absolutely ZERO chance.
  6. Isn't it amazing - I didn't rate 'Inside Speedway' at all. It takes all sorts doesn't it? :)
  7. Perhaps I missed that one - but I do remember saying that I was impressed with him when he scored quite a lot of Points. I will take your word on the twelve Chewbacca.
  8. I rated him very highly - BUT - I don't think that he realised that there is a time to ease off the throttle. In the end that cost him. Great Rider though to watch - I would not have liked to be in a Race with him if I were a Rider.
  9. How can you say that if the Elite League Team has two National League Riders riding for them? People are paying Elite League Prices to watch National League Riders in approximately a third of the Races. How can they maintain the Prices at that level when what you are getting is a watered down League. Surely - if you dilute the League's QUALITY then the Prices should be reduced to compensate. I really don't understand why people don't get this. It seems very logical to me.
  10. Must agree with you there sidney. Always rated Simmo. Carter often was an accident waiting to happen. Sadly Carter suffered too many injuries.
  11. Just a bit of fun sidney. Try to introduce some fun on the Forum now and again. Thank you for not taking it the wrong way. :)
  12. No - I'm afraid I didn't.
  13. I'm sure Geoff Curtis wore Blue Leathers sidney. I'm also sure that someone will tell me if I'm wrong.
  14. No I'm not. I clearly stated that I believed that Prices should be about the same in BOTH Elite and Premier Leagues. I also agree that Speedway should be cheaper - I have heard of folk who can't afford to go. There is no easy answer to Speedway's overall problems. However, give folk value for money and that will surely help with Attendances won't it? That part of the argument IS simple.
  15. To answer your question regarding the lowering of Prices - yes I am suggesting that. Remember that you are selling a lesser Product than last year. My reasoning is simple - if folk think that they are getting value for money they will come - if they feel they aren't - they won't. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!!!
  16. But THAT is down to the Clubs. It's the Lads themselves I feel sorry for.
  17. They did. Jimmy Mac, I believe, also favoured that type of headgear.
