  1. Puzzled of Sunderland would like to know: Is there anything in there about Four Blokes Riding around a Track? If there isn't - I'm not going.
  2. I still change the money back in to 'old' money in my head. £1-12-0d for a Newspaper (Telegraph) is bloody ridiculous.
  3. Did you see how Stuart Robson went. I hope that he is fully recovered from the injuries that he picked up last season.
  4. You have my sympathy my friend. I'm afraid I was brought up on Pounds and Ounces/Feet and Inches. This Metric foreign crap means nothing to me - and I'm too old and set in my ways to change now. Imperial Measures were good enough for me at School and in my youth - I have never accepted Metric and I don't suppose I ever will. I apologise to those who have never known anything else but Metric. I am only expressing how I feel.
  5. What the hell are kg? Could someone PLEASE translate this in to English. Bloody foreign rubbish.
  6. Fingers crossed that you are right Arthur. It's nice to have somewhere to go if (when) it rains.
  7. I must say - you DO have a way with words. I am so pleased that you recognize your moronic state though - that should be a help when you go to school. Run along now - there's a good boy.
  8. By some of your Posts you seem to be one of these folk who have absolutely NO consideration for others. I think the part of your Post that I have highlighted is downright insulting to MOST people who have to live and work in a noisy environment not just Sports Stadia. The fact is that these people who are complaining SHOULD have done Due Diligence in order to find out about any problems living close to the Stadium - they did not, it would appear. THAT is their fault. The noise a 0300hrs is the fault of the Stadium for allowing it. I cannot help but feel that had the noise ended by a sensible time eg. 2300 Hrs - there would have been NO problem today with the Speedway or any other Sport. The ironic thing, in this case, seems to be that none of the trouble is caused by the Speedway. I'm off now to get my COCOA!!! Complete Knitting a scarf - so YOU can sod off!!
  9. Whilst I sympathise with Mildenhall Speedway very much. I cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, condone making a noise nuisance at 0300 Hrs in the morning. I am sorry - but to me - that is NOT reasonable - in fact it is bloody unreasonable. Does not seem to be a lot of that rare thing called Common Sense being used by the Stadium Owners here.
  10. That certainly isn't a given. I think the 'Bears' will do better than you estimate.
  11. That's a VERY jaundiced view RR. At least you get 100% effort from Wilkinson and yet you were prepared to put up with Kus.
  12. He obviously doesn't use enough Duck Tape. :D
  13. Unlesss Tracks have a dedicated Gate for these Tickets (which I doubt) - I would guess the answer to that is a resounding YES!!!
  14. Without going in to it on this Thread - we ARE supposed to be.
  15. Just found this Link: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/316540/Time-called-on-noisy-church-bells http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/9954314.Ding_dong_over_loud_church_bells/ .................... and this one which is like a red rag to a bull with me: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a84_1256916486 So it isn't only Speedway that suffers from Nimbys - sadly they are all over the place. Finally - this is well worth a read to demonstrate how Christian Churches are coming under pressure in a 'Christian' Country: http://www.beliefnet.com/columnists/on_the_front_lines_of_the_culture_wars/2011/04/will-church-bells-become-illegal.html All of this is totally wrong - as is folk moving next to a Speedway Track and then moaning about it.
  16. I'm sure there was something on the News about this a couple of years ago. There HAD been complaints from people about Bell Ringing in a Village in the South somewhere - I can't remember the exact details though.
  17. Yes - that is very misleading. Let's just hope that folk look in to it a little further than that headline.
