Thanks for that 'Bam Bam'. -
Rob You are usually pretty fair minded. You, on your own admission, were not at the Meeting. Well I was - and EVERYTHING stated on here by Tsunami, Arson Fire, etc. and myself is TRUE. WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW!!! I am sorry - you are wrong in this instance. Whoever told you what happened fed you incorrect information. You, of course, are free to believe what you like. Personally - I like to believe the TRUTH!!!

Perhaps he'll have a ROPE. -
Oooooohhhhh REALLY!!! What total nonsense.. You can't say that. It is true to say that without one or two of the Decisions made by the Referee Scunthorpe might have won, it would have certainly been possible. To say with such certainty, however, that they would have won is, I am afraid, rubbish. Unless, of course, you are 'Mystic Meg'................................................................................

New Costs Coming Fir Riders

Fair enough Dean - I concede that you know more about this than me. Thank you for your answers. :) -
That is the EXACT TRUTH!! I saw it exactly the same way. The Bike was parked deliberately on the racing line. A VERY dangerous and VERY stupid thing to do. Maybe Jorgensen lost his temper - we can ALL do that. I am sure that on cooler reflection he will regret his actions. That is, by far, the most sensible Post from anyone who was not there. :approve:

Yes - but that could still mean that had Jason been wearing Leathers - he may not have been so badly injured. I'm just trying to get this straight in my head - I am honestly not trying to be awkward. -

What about the Jason Crump arm injury Dean? It was stated at the time that his Kevlars were not up to the job. It was actually stated that he would not have been so badly hurt had he been wearing Leathers. Anything that makes things safer for Riders is OK by me. I freely admit I don't know a lot about the difference between Kevlars and Leathers just that Leathers being that much thicker would, to my mind, offer better protection. If you could tell me where I am wrong in my thinking - I would appreciate it. Thanks Dean. Ian. -
You are on to a loser here. You weren't there so you don't actually KNOW what happened. Someone could have told you their view of what occurred - but that is only a view passed on by word of mouth. It could also be a partisan, biased view - you can't possibly KNOW the facts. I WAS there - so was Tsunami and a few hundred others - we are not stupid we KNOW what we saw. He PARKED his Bike on the Racing line - there is absolutely NO argument about that. IF it is true that he was Fined by the Referee - then that only serves to support my argument - obviously the Referee felt his action was stupid and dangerous too.

I have commented on a lot of the above on a separate Thread I started wondering if any Records had been broken tonight. Just to say that Lindgren was VERY good tonight as was Robbo. I would add that if Lindgren rode like that in every Meeting he would be a worthy Number One. I genuinely hope that he does. I still hope that when the new Averages come out the Number One mantle will be passed on to Robbo. Were you there? There is absolutely NO justification for putting fellow Riders in danger - and Jorgensen DID JUST THAT!!!

I attended the Newcastle/Scunthorpe Meeting this evening. I have never seen a Meeting with so much incident. 15 Heats of Racing featuring ELEVEN re-starts. 2 x 5-0 in one Meeting. 2 x Awarded Races. I can't remember seeing anything like that before. Are any of the above a Record. AND: That is without mentioning handbags between Auty and Rose, Jorgensen stupidly parking his Bike in the middle of the Track causing danger to the other participants in the Race. I thought the Referee was inconsistent too - in one case he allowed all three (3) Riders back in the Race when one Rider, Douglas seemed to put the Bike down himself at the First Bend when in Third place. An altogether interesting and exciting Meeting - but - it must have been one of the coldest Meetings I have ever attended.
