Tame G. B. - Oh Dear
The White Knight replied to The Pedaler's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes - I thought about that before I Posted. For example what if Scotland were to produce another Bert Harkins, Jimmy MacMillan, Jimmy Tannock, the Beatons etc. But then I thought that currently there seem to be no real Scottish prospects around. So, in the light of that, I was prepared to put up with England. Better THAT than TeamGB - says it all really. -
Just a guess from me. New Cross.

I thought it was only me. TeamGB is a dreadful name, I can't remember how we got foisted off with that appalling abomination. It should be done away with forthwith. Great Britain would be my preference - but - England would do at a push. TeamGB should be thrown in to the dustbin of history. YUK!!!!!  -
Well done - the first step is always admitting you..............................................................worked in that Bar. :)

True - A very good idea that. Eventually me might have a Team of which we could be proud. Riders would have to be persevered with though. It would be no good dropping someone after one or two failures. We might get clobbered a few times - but in the end I am sure something good would come of it. -

That would be OK by me. I like Proctor - but - British Riders should always come first in my book. I hope that something is sorted out for Adam soon - he is too good a British Rider to be out of the Sport. -

Possibly you are right. But it should be the League that goes - not the Clubs. -

You don't have to tell me that!!! I am a Sunderland Speedway Supporter and I lost my Track FORTY years ago. I've been a Speedway nomad ever since. The comment in my previous Post still stands though. British Speedway has never, as long as I can remember, gone through a period as bad as at present. Change things - or - DEATH WILL COME SLOWLY!!!
