  1. I'm surprised no-one on here has picked Nicki Pedersen and errrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! :nono:
  2. Good Post Moxey63. I think your first sentence sums it up perfectly. Sad I know - but there isn't the money around these days for Promoters to run Speedway and do nothing else. They have Families too, and they must come first. I don't know what the solution is, especially during these times of austerity. That is something else beyond the control of Promoters - people nowadays are being more selective on how they spend their money. Speedway will, I think, always come a poor second up against putting food on the table. I know that I sound like an apologist for Promoters - I am not, as some will know from some of my previous Posts - but these things DO have to be considered. As I said - I wish I had an answer - but I don't.
  3. You will be getting a letter from Tony Mole's Solicitors in the morning.
  4. I'm sure I heard of 'Glitter' Guards.
  5. I'm sure we (Newcastle) would have him in place of Schrammy if he doesn't come back for a while. He has done very well for us as a Guest.
  6. As I said though - historically 'extra money = no no'. :nono:
  7. ................ or maybe TWK could boil his head in oil first.
  8. I hope you are right Dave. With Schrammy looking doubtful, at least for a while, Robert Lambert would fit in with Danny King's new 'real' average.
  9. Having reread the last few Posts - I apologise - I got that wrong. It just winds me up that people are so determined to have a go at the Newcastle Track. It has been loads better over the last few years. The Track usually supplies some good racing. One thing you cannot control is the Weather. The Brough Park Track has had to take loads of water from storms over the last few weeks - neither the Track Curator, nor the Promotion can be held responsible for that.
  10. Then you are hardly giving an informed opinion are you? You are taking advice from others who may, or may not have an axe to grind.
  11. The only fault I found with the Programme was that it was too short. I could have listened to all of those guys for a lot longer. MOST enjoyable.
  12. Pretty soon we will have every Track in the Country on here. :)
  13. Yes Rob - I agree with you - BUT - will they? Tai is a very marketable commodity for Speedway, and watching 'Five World Champions in a Room' the other night made me realise just how much Tai does, and perhaps, even more importantly, could do for the Sport. He needs the support of those at the top (he may have it) but he can't do it all on his own.
  14. Very true PP. You don't miss it until it's gone. By then it is too late. Suddenly you are 'Forty Years' older and you still miss it.
  15. Not really, but he was a Premier League Rider a few years ago, and a fairly decent one at that.
  16. Sadly it has a habit of doing that. "Those who ignore history are bound (or doomed) to repeat it" George Santayana (1863-1952)
  17. Sunderland was a very good and fair Track and would be my second favourite behind Hyde Road. Sunderland was not fashionable by any means, but I saw some great races there. It was where it all started for me. The Stadium is still there, there are still very few Houses in the area. If any Promoter was really interested at some stage - who knows? One lives in hope.
  18. Dead easy that one. Hyde Road, Manchester for me - nowhere else compares. :approve:
