Far too many cynics on here. orion - I agree I don't think anyone has actually said they HOPE the new Stadium goes belly up - BUT - reading some of the Posts on here that is definitely the very strong impression I have formed. I am obviously not alone in this. There are also those who also seem to delight in bringing any bad News on here - another very strong impression - yet again. I will rejoice when the Stadium opens. At least part of my rejoicing will be because of the egg on the faces of some on here.

Some unexpected good publicity for Speedway this morning on BBC News. Boris Johnson was making a Speech and he started by mentioning his trip home from Poland. Actually though he is a Eurosceptic he was giving examples of things that had been beneficial to us by being Members of the EU. Easier travel to Member States was one of his points in favour. He then went on to list other things that he considered less than advantageous. He was flying back from Bydgoszcz Poland at the weekend and he said that he had flown back with a lot of Motorcycle people supporting the Sport of Speedway. He said that they had been over there for the Speedway World Cup and that we finished last. He must have been chatting to them. Whilst not elaborating further I got the impression he had enjoyed the experience. Boris also mentioned that he planned to stand for Parliament at the next Election. Great News for me. I've just noticed that another Thread is running on this - I did check but I missed it.. If one of the Mods could merge my Post in to the original Thread I would appreciate it. Well said Tsunami. There seem to be quite a lot like that. I am really surprised at the way some so called Speedway Supporters have reacted over this new Stadium. PR not great I agree BUT shouldn't we ALL in Speedway be celebrating the fact that the iconic Belle Vue are getting a new Stadium which will be used for the NATIONAL benefit as well. This could well help England to get back to something like International Competitors, unlike the 'also rans' we are at present. Come on the 'Aces'.

I'm sorry - I don't agree. A few years ago Coventry won the League so called 'Play Offs' despite finishing the League programme TWENTY SIX Points behind the actual Team that finished TOP over the Season. You explain to me how that can be justified - because I, as a Supporter just CANNOT see it. All this "they knew the Rules at the start of the Season" is just so much flannel, it also may be true - but crucially - it doesn't make it RIGHT!!!

Correct - it isn't. I haven't claimed that it is. What I have claimed is that the Elite Leagues problems are greater than those of the Premier League because of their Product. Only half a dozen top Riders, if that, NINE Teams only. Granted you can see the World Champion - but - how much does he, Ward etc. actually cost? I have no idea, by the way, but it wont be peanuts. The Elite League is living beyond it's means - or at least that is the impression I have. Plenty of problems in the other Leagues too, as orion says. The problems are there, but, they are not as great. That is all I am saying.
