I agree with you sidney - but - there is plenty of things I am not happy about in Speedway - and that makes me very sad. :sad: Happiness is 40-38.

What has Ward won when it comes to WORLD Titles? Surely that is the yardstick you need to use when asking us to accept a statement like that. The answer to the question is - NOTHING!!! You even answered the question yourself. Surely saying that they were World Champions (which is something Ward will never be - unless he grows/wises up) you have to accept that currently they are more talented than Ward as they have BOTH won the Championship, one of them more than once. Thank you very much everyone.

Trouble is orion - you may or may not be right. But being the best run, most financially well off and best supported Club in the WORLD is not much good if everybody else in the League has gone bust. Put simply - you cannot have a League with only ONE Team in it.

The Jury will probably drag their Decision out to November - and then give him a Three Month Ban so that he can be back at the start of next Season. Because of the delay in their Decision he will be able to Ride for the rest of this Season, especially in GPs. That's the time to Ban someone from Speedway - when there is no Speedway. OR - maybe I'm just a cynic.

Excellent, well thought out Post Falcace. I would just make one change to your Plan. I would have only the TOP TWO of the North/South Sections in the Play Off Final. They have won their Section of the League - they DESERVE to be there on their own. Winner to be overall League Champions.

You are, of course, correct. However - as I have pointed out the Premier League did not have the advantage of SKY money. I think we can agree on one thing though, and that is that Speedway is in a mess and needs to be sorted out root and branch.

As far as I know though orion - the Elite League is the ONLY League that has squandered SKY money, paid Riders loads more than they should have done and allowed the League to get in to such a dreadful state. The Elite League is largely in trouble due to it's own fault - THEY had the SKY money which, to an extent, cushioned the effects of the Recession - but they blew it. The Premier League is, I know, riddled with problems too. These are largely down to the Recession and falling Crowd levels. I do not know anything about the Financial state of the National League.

Rightly so. It will be perceived that he is being treated as D'Arcy Ward - GP Rider - when he should be treated the same as any other SPEEDWAY Rider.

NOWT!!! If he continues with his current antics. Sad really because he could be a truly GREAT World Champion. His punishment MUST be the same as any other Rider would get. To do anything else would be grossly unfair on other who have/will be Banned for longer. Speedway must stand up and be counted on this one. Had DW not been caught it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that he could have killed or seriously injured someone. What then?

Might be worth at least giving the new Riders a Meeting or two to get dialled in. Come on - at least give them a chance.

However when they are already at the Tapes what the hell is the point of sending them back to the Pits? Not sure what you mean by the highlighted bit of your Post. I don't like Riders delaying the Starts by going back to the Pits - and crucially - I don't like Referees delaying the Starts when the Riders are AT the Start either. Hope that helps. Last night was as I said RIDICULOUS!!! Incidentally - it did no favours for Speedway on the Television either. It embarrassed the Commentators on SKY, had Riders and Supporters wondering what the heck was going on AND to crown it all - probably put any casual viewers of Speedway off the Sport for life.
