The BSPA have come part way to satisfying me with their decision on Double Points, and it would be churlish not to acknowledge that by changing my stance. Thanks are due to the BSPA for getting rid of the 'Joker'. I have hammered them with criticism over the years regarding the Tactical Ride Issue - I feel it is only right that I applaud them for their Decision to end it.

I must admit when I started this Thread I thought I might hear some News from the AGM. However - the replies so far are interesting, some amusing but I am surprised at the negativity - especially as we haven't heard anything yet.

I totally agree with that. The Speedway experience needs improving in so many ways - but there are limits.

Very sad to see dissension in the camp. If this venture is to succeed you all need to be united together. All pulling in the right direction. Good luck anyway.

What does that matter as long as the Premier League is OK - that's all that matters. The new Redcar Promoter has done a great job of resurrecting the Clubs fortunes and then BANG!!! He is hit with having to change his race night. It hardly seems fair to me. I only hope that the Redcar Supporters will be able to support a different night. Here's hoping.

Very shocked and saddened to hear this News. I got to know Dave at Redcar when he was running the Souvenir Shop there. Always had a friendly word for me, and a sympathetic ear on occasions too. A wonderful man who I wish I had know a lot longer than I did. A Gentleman in the truest sense of the word. My condolences to his Family and to his, obviously, very many friends. R.I.P. + Dave.
