  1. I have my fingers crossed for you 'Brummie' Supporters. Best wishes too.
  2. Sad that your contact with the Sport has ended, as has mine. You must visit the new Stadium when it is built - I know I will. :approve:
  3. Thank you for your reply Dean. I appreciate it. I have my own issues with the Speedway Press too. Perhaps a little investigative journalism and honest criticism would not be amiss.
  4. So do I. If he went then I reckon that Smolinski should have been excluded too. Now THAT would have been a talking point, wouldn't it?
  5. No we are all perfectly normal - I think. Mackems by the way.
  6. I know. However if the Scots do Vote 'YES' they will, apart from the 'arrangements' be an Independent Country from Friday. Officially you are correct in what you say - March 2016 is the target date - but - the Scots will regard themselves as being Independent from whenever the Referendum Result is announced. I'm still hoping for a 'NO' Vote - this is too close for comfort.
  7. WRONG!! I've been supporting Speedway for FIFTY years- and I believe that the Referee was correct on the Nicki Pedersen incident. (My opinion - to which I am entitled). As I said - Greg Hancock a true Gentleman. Thank you for that arnieg. I normally enjoy your Posts Dean Machine they are usually very interesting and informative - but - in this case I don't think there is any need for the personal abuse. For what it is worth, I have NEVER seen Mr. Rising give out abuse like that. He is entitled to his view - your views differ - fair enough. Your discussion could surely be carried on without the name calling. Actually - as I saw it Nicki hit Batchelor's leg pushing in towards his machine - Batchelor did definitely not stick his leg out, he moved it up to try to avoid Nicki. That is why I think the Referee was correct in his decision.
  8. What happens if Edinburgh win the Final - and - Scotland Vot 'YES' on Thursday? The 'Play Off' Championship will be held by a foreign country? Only asking....
  9. I wouldn't have gone on a Speedway Track to race Jack Millen either. The 'Villains' are part of Speedway, it will always have them. Nicki is no better and no worse than any other so called Villain that I can think of.
  10. No - I have spoken to Nicki too - and you are right, he is a great bloke to speak to. However - if I had to be Racing either Greg or Nicki on a Speedway Track - I know which one I would pick.
  11. I don't think there are any rubbish Teams in the 'Play Offs'. If there are - then it doesn't say much about those Teams finishing below the Top Six.
  12. I believe I am a reasonable judge of Character. Greg Hancock always impresses me with his attitude to the Sport and to the Supporters.
  13. No - I don't. I judge him by his actions not by his antics.
  14. ........................ and who is PROFESSIONAL, can treat Winning and Losing with equanimity, who can SMILE in adversity and who KNOWS the true meaning of SPORTSMANSHIP. Most of these qualities are sadly lacking in certain Riders. (No names, no pack drill). Greg Hancock is a true Gentleman.
  15. Firstly - Congratulations to Tai Woofinden. What a tremendous display of courage and fortitude he showed tonight. Those very hard earned seven Points may well prove invaluable in his quest for another World Championship. Secondly - I thought the Referee was right to exclude Nicki Pedersen. Just my opinion. Finally - Well done Andreas Jonsson on winning the GP.
  16. Agreed. Two GPs. in this Country would be better than one, and more profitable - and we would probably have the only GP that is a total sell out. (I'm guessing about that)
  17. I see your reasoning Dave. Fair enough - I was wrong. Just trying to think of ways to make things fairer.
  18. Why not give the Start Marshal real power. Anyone not coming to the Tapes when indicated to do so by the Start Marshal has to go back 15 metres. The Start Marshal having the right to exclude or penalise Riders who do not comply with his instructions. If the Start Marshal has no power - then why is he there in the first place?
  19. Yes - it will be great sitting on the Toilet watching Belle Vue in the new Speedway. That should make it pretty unique. Sadly I am unable to see the Track from the Bog at Newcastle.
  20. It seems a fairly common occurrence after some of the exclusions I have seen. :o
  21. That is exactly what I meant Crump99. Cheers. You could try consulting Sherlock Holmes. I'll get me coat - again.
  22. That would be great. I do hope that we could meet up sometime - especially at Belle Vue.
