  1. And I can recall 'Gentleman' George Barclay riding around the Boldon Track at Sunderland Speedway, wearing a Top Hat and carrying a real size cardboard cut out of the F.A, Cup in 1973.
  2. So what would you do if you were innocent in his situation? Would you give some sort of grovelling apology - because if you did - you would be very stupid. To offer an apology if you were innocent would be tantamount to admitting Guilt. Or - can't you see that? I don't know whether he is Guilty or not - Courts have got things wrong before. The 'Birmingham Six' spring to mind.
  3. Possibly because she is told what to say by the Director.
  4. No Expense when I was a Raker - we did it for FREE. We also paid to get in - to try and keep our Track viable. Fat lot of good it did us.
  5. It's not xenophobic to want what is best for BRITISH Speedway though BW. We do seem to give preference to Foreign Riders at times. I love to watch Chris Holder etc. but when you get certain Riders who are, let's face it, no hopers coming from Overseas - it does seem to me that Promoters will go for them over British youngsters. At least, that is the impression I get.
  6. Actually - there is a certain merit in that. We bring them all (Foreigners) on in Speedway so they should show some loyalty to the Country where they got their experience, learned their Trade if you will. It would also be good if we stopped rubbish Foreign Riders coming over here at the expense of rubbish British Riders. The rubbish Foreign Riders learn and progress whilst our rubbish British Riders don't get the chance.
  7. If there were NO GPs - I bet the Elite League would be a lot stronger than it is now.
  8. A trifle harsh moxey63. There are some good Races today - but - not as many.
  9. I have to say that I was very impressed with Charlie too last night. She was not frightened to disagree with some of the Political Heavyweights and put her Case very well. Obviously a highly principled Lady as she has said that she will resign her position at Sheffield United if Ched Evans signs for her Club. As I said - very impressive.
  10. Any of the three that you mention would do me. :approve: But certainly not.........................................................................................
  11. You could be right. When you add all of these things together though it certainly doesn't help the Sport when it comes to attracting new people.
  12. As do you on occasions. It's all in the perception.
  13. Very balanced and sensible Post with which I totally agree Dean.
  14. Good luck Charlie. Hope the comeback goes well.
  15. Tai's already been there and done that. He probably has the Tee Shirt too.
  16. How about a couple of Supporters who have stopped going. That would be more effective. Ooops - I'd forgotten - they couldn't give a hoot as to why people have stopped going. They are just NOT interested.
