  1. Three now...................................... :)
  2. Well I would have thought it funny if he had put they were from Australia and said white people with six kids. You really are stretching things here BW. Mind you, it does appear that, at present, Australian Speedway Riders are having more trouble getting in to this Country than all of the Illegal Immigrants from other Countries - White or Black.
  3. Of course it is. It was an off hand joke by KeithM that was meant in fun that the do-gooders on here jumped on straight away. It just demonstrates that even the most harmless remarks can be picked up on, and turned in to something they are not. No the wonder there is so much trouble and prejudice - you get the feeling that some people just can't wait......................................................
  4. Shale - that's a laugh!! It looks like mud these days.
  5. Sense of humour transplant required. Well I'm sorry BW - I thought it was funny. I don't consider myself ill educated or Racist. I can laugh at Jokes about white (Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman) people too. This is where all this bloody Politically Correct rubbish causes trouble.
  6. I think everyone will know where I stand on this one. Good Post Dean. :approve:
  7. It'll certainly be interesting.......................................................
  8. Does that include the Heats that are of National League standard. I nearly forgot - and also the Double Uppers from the Premier League? National League Riders, Double Uppers - how many actual Elite League Riders only are there? Just asking.
  9. You asked - and I have done on numerous occasions. BRITISH LEAGUE DIVISION ONE!!! It isn't rocket science and it describes the League perfectly whereas ELITE certainly does NOT!!! Obviously the Premier League (another misnomer) would become British League Division Two - which is exactly what it is. The National League would be British League Division Three (Development). Which is what it is supposed to be. orion - I know that the current Elite League has better Riders. I also doubt that any Premier League Team could beat an Elite League Team - there you are - I have said it in black and white.
  10. That is something I had not thought about Dean.
  11. So he only just avoided the 'Pointless' Trophy then.
  12. But crucially I have never, ever said that they would. The Elite League Teams, by and large, have better Riders so I would expect them to beat a Premier League Team. If you had but the sense to realise it, my problem is with the Name itself. The Elite League is very FAR from Elite - just under one third of the Riders in each Team are National League Riders orion, BW. That means that at least TWO Riders are THIRD Class. They may improve, some have but most are not of such a standard as to be called Elite? League Rider. Before you say it, the Premier League is badly name too - it is never Premier. Why the hell can't Speedway get back to the British League Division One, Division Two and Division Three - for THAT is what they are. Anything else is pretentious nonsense.
  13. I'm sorry BW - I couldn't resist. You really are very sensitive and defensive about it though aren't you? Your second comment is just silly. You are better than that.
  14. I think that there is a way to set up a Poll on here - but I haven't a clue how to do it. Perhaps one of the Mods or someone with more knowledge than I could oblige. I think it could be interesting.
  15. Well I'm delighted that Aaron has signed. He is far too good a Rider to be left out of Racing this year. I wish him luck at his new Club. :approve:
  16. WELL I DON'T!!! This is a FREE Forum open to anyone's views on Speedway, Politics and yes Religion too. You are entitled to say what you think on any subject under the sun as long as you do so in a reasonable manner. We ALL get angry and upset sometimes but that should not put you off Posting. If you pick up a Ban along the way - take it on the chin and come back afterwards hopefully having learned something. I have said before sidney, you have Posted many interesting Topics and Posts on here. Your decision not to Post any more would be a big loss to the Forum - and may I suggest - also to yourself. I believe you are WRONG in this. Remember - you withdraw from Forum activity and you let those who argue, debate and 'wind you up' win.
  17. There would be a few Australians from way back who would argue about that if they were still alive. On this issue - I still cannot forget all of the 'Anzacs' who gave their lives for this Country in two World Wars - Gallipoli springs to mind.
  18. I have only heard of Tom Farndon, Jack Milne and Cordy Milne and read about them. From reading about them I think they were something special. I have read a lot about those days in 'Vintage Speedway' Magazine and also 'Classic Speedway' Magazine, the worthy successor to the Vintage Magazine. I love reading about that era and I can highly recommend 'Classic Speedway' Magazine in reference to those times.
  19. I guess we must wait and see. I'm VERY impressed with Alex Davies comments. Clears up a lot of the conjecture.
