I can't agree with that sidney. Starman has, unfortunately, picked the wrong arguments - that is all. He is going against general sensible opinion. We can all do that sometimes. I certainly hope that people are not ganging up on him.

Personally - I find it very hard to take, when it seems that we can take in a lot of the dross from around the World. When we are forced to take in a lot of dross from Europe - BUT - we are throwing out Australians and New Zealanders, who to me anyway, are far more loyal friends to this Country than almost anywhere else in the World. We are even blocking Americans with whom we are supposed to have a 'special relationship'. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

As you asked me a direct question - I will give you the courtesy of a answer. What I hoped you would do was to stop Posting nonsense. Your support of Darcy Ward is admirable in some ways, however - it defies logic. The man has admitted his crime not only in print, but on television too. He, at least, admitted his responsibility. You appear to think that this is OK - I am saying very forcefully, that it is most certainly NOT OK to endanger other Riders the way that he could have done.. I would be interested to know your views if someone had been killed or seriously injured because of his actions? What would you have said then?

Yes they do. My point is that we don't need any more of that type of person, we have enough of our own. I am sure there are a lot of very nice people in those two Countries - but crucially - will they be the ones who come here. From what I observe in our Towns and Cities - I somehow doubt it.

Those much "maligned pair" as you put it bring absolutely nothing of worth to this Country at all. Unless, of course, you consider Begging, Pickpocketing, Busking and collecting Benefits as being 'useful'. Further down the line I expect those two Countries to end up like Greece.

Excellent and thank you for that. But I was thinking of the greats of our Sport. We never got the chance to develop that far. You could have added Jim Airey, Gordon Guasco and Ken Sharples too. We had some good Riders but no World Champions. Jim Airey was our lone World Finalist - long after he left us of course. :approve:
