I would say that said Number One should be excluded - he knows the Rule.
At a time when we are all calling for consistency in Refereeing - he might have excluded the Away Number One earlier in the Meeting for the same offence exactly. Surely leaving the - in this case Home Number One in the Race - the Away Team Manager would be screaming that the Referee taking this action was unfair - and HE WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT!!!
You simply can't do that.
Sadly - No.
That is why I qualified my statement saying 'that I had ever visited'. I have great memories from a number of Tracks - but for me Hyde Road was the best ever.
The Title of the Thread says - Best Ever Track?
It has to be Belle Vue, Hyde Road for me. I know that you mention it in your original Post - but - it simply was the best Track I ever visited. :approve:
Whilst I appreciate that others will think differently - for me - it is a 'no brainer'.
I reckon there are very few people who are as involved in Speedway voluntarily as Tsunami. He and I have our differences on occasion but I can tell you - no-one works harder than him for the good of Speedway and especially for the good of Newcastle 'Diamonds'.
I remember when I bought my first Record. The Rock Island Line - Decca Records - Lonnie Donegan - 6/4d if I remember correctly.
Lonnie produced most of his Records through Pye Nixa.
Happy days - I have all of Lonnie's songs on CD now - it isn't the same though.
To answer Yes or No is impossible - yes I would like to see the best Riders in the World including Mr. Ward - but - that has to be qualified. I do not want to see somebody there who is so irresponsible as to fail an Alcohol Test is Banned and then welcomed back in to the Speedway GP Community as if nothing had happened.
He could have killed or injured somebody. Thankfully he was caught before he rode.
I am not against Mr. Ward - I just think that he should serve his sentence without any favours being given. Unless you want to reward him for his irresponsible behaviour of course.
I wouldn't dream of slating you. :nono:
Bridger is a great Rider with a great talent, no doubt. But sadly he, along with one or two others seems to have a self destruct button which he presses rather too often.
