  1. I am firmly on the Race Jacket side of the argument. It is far, far easier to pick out your own Team's logo on a Race Jacket, whereas the Team Suits are very anonymous and frequently you cannot make out the Logo because of Sponsors names and their logos. I have always felt that way. That is half the problem with Speedway. The Authorities are always fannying about with changing things that aren't important and ignoring things that are.
  2. Things do seem a bit flat this Season. I've been on a diet.
  3. I know Sidney. You saw some wrecks of Bikes in those days. But they worked, that is always what amazed me.
  4. This looks like a tiny glimmer of light for Coventry. Very best wishes to you all in your battle to return Speedway to Coventry - you deserve success. I lost my Track 45 years ago and I still remember how it feels. UP THE'BEES'!!!
  5. He must have tied a bit more string to his Bike.
  6. I reckon I get what you are talking about now. I didn't know though.
  7. Have just received my copy of BackTrack. I can only say what a wonderful tribute to arguably the Greatest Speedway Rider ever. Congratulations on a tremendous effort, a 'must' for all Speedway Fans in my opinion.
  8. No - afraid not. I was only curious, however, it doesn't really matter. Probably nowt to do with me anyway.
  9. HaHa - no, I don't actually. I am not as close to the Sport as I once was.
  10. Still very expensive to repair though, even if they can be saved.
  11. But he hasn't just been inconsistent this Season Dave. Anyway, he was brilliant on Sunday - let's hope he can keep it up. If he can - then he may be the real Number One in the Team.
  12. Ken Sharples, Jim Airey, Ivan Mauger, Brian Brett.
  13. We too had a real character at Sunderland - Jack Millen. Fondly remembered still by Sunderland Speedway Supporters. He will never be forgotten by those of us who survive those days.
  14. Lot's of Characters in the Seventies too BOBBATH. As regards the 'Sixties' - Ivor Brown was quite a character as I recall.
  15. People know how I feel about Lindgren, but, what a superb performance from him against, in my opinion, a better all round Team than ours. It was a wonderful display which begs the question - why oh why can't he produce that sort of form on a far more regular basis? If he did he would get no criticism from me. As for the Meeting itself, I enjoyed it. An exciting Meeting with a reasonably fair result. Ipswich do look a good Team though. Nice to meet up with Halifaxtiger and have a natter. Missed Tsunami though. There's always two weeks time, hopefully.
  16. Typical bloody ignorant graffiti merchants - they can't spell either.
  17. if you are appalled by my question Steve - then I am very surprised. I have lost count of the number of Premier League Riders alleged to have stated that they keep their best Bikes in Poland. They say that for a reason. There is more money to be made in Poland. I merely asked a question, I have no "hidden Agenda", my feelings about Lindgren are well known. I think he should be scoring better than he is away from Home. The only thing I will agree with is that he is not a Number One, we don't have one.
