  1. Agreed - but - at least he was prepared to put in the effort.
  2. This is without doubt one of the best Posts you have done on this Forum Humphrey. I commend you for it. The only bit I could possibly argue with is my highlighted bit. I think you are exaggerating the height. To quote Mandy Rice Davies: "Well he would say that, wouldn't he"?
  3. As usual.. A hard man was Tony. I remember him and Jack Millen coming together at Sunderland a couple of times. If my memory serves me right. We certainly do................................... I got hit by a hard hit Cricket Ball once................. I still wince when I think about it. That was fifty five years ago now.
  4. Some would say deserved a chance after helping us out in the 'Pairs'.
  5. As said by Fromafar you are spot on with your comments. The thing is the Sport is losing it's credibility. People(Supporters) are losing their faith in the Sport. If that really gets a grip - Speedway is finished in this Country.
  6. Probably a blessing that they did not cover the Warsaw GP either..................
  7. This makes very sad reading, very sad indeed.
  8. Interesting Humphrey - I did not know that. I await your next reply with interest Philip.
  9. I don't agree. Thank you for your reply. Doesn't really answer my question though - does it? I think we may have to agree to differ on this. I still hold my views on BSI, and self evidently, you hold yours.
  10. I just don't accept that. Sorry. May I ask why you are so defensive of BSI Philip? I am not being nasty or anything, but I am curious to know. Please believe me when I say that this is a genuine question.
  11. You may well be right. All the more reason for BSI to contribute for the good of Speedway. British Speedway needs all the help it can get at present, the Sport is dying. BSI are creaming off the top talent from our Tracks for their own benefit without a thought of the consequences of their actions. If there were no GPs it is difficult to imagine that Riders, Foreign or otherwise, would be giving Speedway in this Country a miss. Therefore as a direct consequence of the GPs - British Speedway is affected. To me, anyway, BSI should contribute financially to help alleviate the problem that they themselves are helping to perpetuate. They won't, of course, why should they? They are getting, it seems to me, Speedway for virtually nothing.
  12. A bit of a contradiction there don't you think?
  13. Much more. ................. and it isn't just you - so don't worry.
  14. Wrong. I am talking about an injustice as I see it. An informed opinion if you like. Proctor has been in this Country now for about eight years. Are my remarks about certain Immigrants coming here justified? - I would have thought that is self evident.
  15. I've just heard about this and I am appalled. As someone has already stated - it appears that it is OK for all the ne'er do wells, Terrorists, Thieves, Pickpockets and Trash from all over the World to come to this Country and screw as much as they can out of us - yet a fully employed Speedway Rider from our own Commonwealth is turfed out at a moment's notice. That can't be right, surely.
  16. I'm sorry Philip I think BSI do have a responsibility. Remember, once Riders are developed they eventually, if all goes well, and they are successful, go on to be GP Riders. Is it not incumbent on BSI to at least contribute to their own life's blood?
  17. Need an Address or Telephone Number like?
