A lot of merit in what you are saying Mike. Glasgow do not want to go up in to the Elite League - it has almost been the ruination of some of those Clubs who have tried it. :sad:

By all the good publicity that goes with being World Champion. Last time he won, he was never off the Television being a great Ambassador for British Speedway. I have no doubt that if he wins again he will do the same. He was also mentioned on the Sports Personality of the Year Awards - only a few seconds but that kind of publicity is great for Speedway. I hope that explains, at least partly, why Tai Woffendin must ride for Great Britain.

Look - if you want British Speedway to find it's way out of the mire it is in - then Tai Woffinden simply has to ride for Great Britain to, at least, keep the Flag flying. Do you have no ambition at all for our National Speedway at all. No amount of 'lol's that you put at the end of your Posts make them the least bit funny. If Tai can be World Champion again - British Speedway benefits. He worked very hard for British Speedway last time he was World Champion. For me, if giving British Speedway a miss means he can win another World Championship wearing the Union Flag - then I wish him all the luck in the World. I also support him missing said British Speedway. Surely even you can see that a British World Champion is of great advantage to British Speedway. Or - don't you care!!!

What a very odd thing to say. Personally - I believe that with him in our Great Britain Team we would stand a very good chance of making the Final. Without him - NO CHANCE!!! If people want British Speedway to go down the Toilet - then leave him out. I really don't understand the logic of some people.

The operative word in your Post is 'most'. Speedway then added some stupid Rules and some people stopped going including me. I wonder if some of the Rule changes has anything to do with falling attendances - I can hear you thinking 'of course not - that's stupid'. I'm sorry robert72 - but that is rubbish in my opinion.

To some of us - it is. I simply cannot understand what was wrong with Great Britain. It served us well for years and then some idiot on the Speedway hierarchy decided to call us TeamGB, a total bloody nonsense. Absolutely no sense of History or Tradition.

It was Great Britain. It is TeamGB. Why the hell did they change it in the first place? :mad: Change for change sake is never a good idea.
