  1. Jim Airey - Sunderland 'Saints' 1964. Graem Smith - Sunderland 'Stars' 1972/73. Jack Millen. Sunderland 'Stars' 1972/73. Just my favourite Riders for my Club - Sunderland of blesséd memory.
  2. I think it is great the way folk help out Dave and others with details. It is also very impressive.
  3. Not a fan of Air Horns. Why do folk have to make a noise that upsets others who have no choice in the matter? Sorry - but I would ban them.
  4. Aye - it comes to us all. Great Rider. Good luck in your retirement AJ.
  5. Good luck with this Survey. At least the Promotion at Redcar are trying something. I wish them every success.
  6. Perhaps if a terrestrial Channel would take Speedway, it would get more exposure. I won't hold my breath. #Just saying......................................
  7. I don't know why, and, I would be interested to know?
  8. You have my best wishes for the return of Coventry 'Bees' to it's ancestral home. I sincerely hope that this can come to fruition.
  9. In the pantheon of ignorant a##eholes on this Forum - you must be top.
  10. He certainly was - along with Graeme Smith and Russ Dent. Was that the year we won the Four Team Tournament Competition against Teesside, Workington and Berwick? 1972 or 1973 My memory fails me these days....
  11. You have my sympathy - as do all the Supporters of the Tracks mentioned by Reliant Robin..... My Track closed 45 years ago - Sunderland 'Stars'.
  12. Very sad news.. My sincere condolences to his family and his friends. R.I.P. +
  13. NO!!! Three World Championships say it all for me.
  14. Well done Ricky. For courage and determination you are the TOPS!!! Very best and sincere wishes for your future. I loved your riding and I hope your dream of a solo ride is fulfilled.
  15. Was Dave Collins British who moved to South Africa, or was he South African?
  16. I saw this and was very surprised, in a nice way. I watch Grantchester religiously (if you'll pardon the pun) every week. Great Programme enhanced, for me anyway, by the Speedway pictures on the wall. Let's hope for more of the same.
