I quite agree - HE can't. But those who reward him for his bad behaviour can - and should be.

I'm torn on this. This is a very good, indeed excellent Post from acclennell with which it is difficult to argue. I cannot help but agree with everything he says. However, I also have a deal of sympathy for the Newcastle Promotion. They cannot sign Riders they cannot afford or the end result will be closure and no Speedway. No Speedway ever again in my opinion as if it ever closes I think that local residents will ensure that it doesn't open again. As I say, I can see both sides of the argument. I wish there was a simple answer but I am very afraid - there isn't.

There is no way he should be gifted a place. I am amazed at you suggesting that. Is there absolutely NO morality left in Speedway. I don't think Tai Woffinden put his fellow Riders lives in jeopardy - which Ward would have done had he not been caught. I think that makes a bit of a difference. I am staggered that a respected Journalist like yourself could spout such nonsense. I would have no problem when he qualifies in 2017 - he will have had his punishment. What you are suggesting, it seems, is rewarding bad behaviour. That is wrong.

It doesn't to me - it just exacerbates my anger. Doesn't matter which Team is involved, my Team or the Opposition Team - I feel exactly the same.

Badly I hope. He should be made to Qualify - just like everyone else. Ooops!!!

I have my principles. Until the Rule has gone- then - so have I.

Tactical Rides shouldn't be allowed for either the Home or the Away Teams. The Rule is a Fiddle and a Cheat. That is a fact. I've been banging on about this for years (some people think I am obsessed by it - and they may be right) it is the one and only reason I now never go to Speedway Meetings. Legalized CHEATING!!!!! If they ever scrap the Rule - I will be back like a shot.

Dunno!!! :unsure: It looks like nobody else does either.
