Not that close to residences actually. That is one of the plus points. It won't happen though, up to about four years ago I don't think the Stadium were that interested. Minds (and personnel) may have changed though. I don't think that the good folk of Newcastle and Redcar have anything to worry about despite Sunderland being the biggest conurbation in the North East.

Crucially though - they won't sell it for development. Superb Stadium with, admittedly, limited viewing from the Terraces - would still be possible though. The only question would be, does the Boldon Stadium want Speedway? Up until now the indications have been less than positive I have to say. Things may have changed though, over the last few years. Hate the 'Play Offs' but we seem to be stuck with them. Edinburgh who topped the League deserve to win it and I hope they do. Failing that let's all root for the mighty Plymouth 'Devils'.
