  1. You have my sympathy - as do all the Supporters of the Tracks mentioned by Reliant Robin..... My Track closed 45 years ago - Sunderland 'Stars'.
  2. Very sad news.. My sincere condolences to his family and his friends. R.I.P. +
  3. NO!!! Three World Championships say it all for me.
  4. Well done Ricky. For courage and determination you are the TOPS!!! Very best and sincere wishes for your future. I loved your riding and I hope your dream of a solo ride is fulfilled.
  5. Was Dave Collins British who moved to South Africa, or was he South African?
  6. I saw this and was very surprised, in a nice way. I watch Grantchester religiously (if you'll pardon the pun) every week. Great Programme enhanced, for me anyway, by the Speedway pictures on the wall. Let's hope for more of the same.
  7. A first rate opening Post, on this very worthwhile Thread by tmc, with which I fully concur.
  8. I would like to wish 'Robbo' the very best of everything in his recently announced retirement, he certainly deserves it.. A great Rider who always gave 100%.
  9. You've never said truer words in your life.... That is probably why many people no longer can be bothered with the Forum. I know, have been in contact with, a number of folk who have packed in due to the unpleasantness on here by certain people. I, myself, do not Post as much as I used to - I still read it though.
  10. Yes - I've been around Speedway since 1964 and I feel the same as Philip. We can only hope that he and I are wrong.
  11. I find the whole Sport very depressing at present HT. What has happened at Rye House has got me wondering who will be next? Sadly I find it quite feasible that a number of other Clubs could go the same way. I was stunned to hear Belle Vue mentioned as being possibly among the Tracks we need to be concerned about. Where will it all end - I wonder?
  12. He is a disillusioned former Supporter, who is as entitled to his views and to air them, as you or I. At the end of the day - that is what the Forum is for HT. There are a lot less People Posting on here these days - I wonder why?
  13. Very sad to hear this News. I too would like to think that Rye House could be resurrected next year - but - on a cautionary note, as a Sunderland Supporter who lost his Track in 1974 the resurrection may not happen. I seem to remember Posting somewhere on here that some Tracks who moved up from the old 'Premier' League to the then 'Elite' League would live to regret it - sadly - it seems I was right. My sympathies go to all those loyal Rye House Supporters - I know how they feel - CRAP!!! I still do in regard to Sunderland - and that was 44 years ago.......
  14. I can think of someone who should be in the same boat as regards his Bullying and Trolling. I wonder who that could be? Just saying.............................
  15. I am very pleased with tonight's result. Pity one or two Riders couldn't have scored a Point or two more. Mustn't be greedy though - one Point isn't bad.
  16. Sadly - I think you are right. One can, however, live in hope.
  17. The proof o the pudding and all that...................
  18. I hope you will forgive me - but - I am hoping for the 'Diamonds' to possibly get something out of this Meeting.
  19. Difficult to argue with anything you say there Hawk127. But will British Supporters accept no foreign Riders or 'Stars' in this Country. Would the Fan Base drop even lower without them?
  20. The problem is they ( the Newspapers) don't print the information given - they used to years ago - why not these days? There must be a reason why they stopped?
  21. You could Note Mr. Snackette's final comment in his Post GD.
