A VERY fine Post Dave the Mic. I totally agree with you on just about everything you have written. One point of interest to me is that when you are talking about top Riders. I find it incredible how many British Riders in the Seventies, who would probably be classed/considered as great, and yet how few there are today. A sad reflection on the state of our Sport these days.

WRONG! On both counts - I don't like the French I don't hate them. I don't hate anyone. I have no problems with most Muslims - just Islam which is a Religion. However those who have read my Posts over the years - the intelligent ones anyway - may not agree with me - but crucially they are able to understand where I am coming from. I'm glad you appreciate it. As a person who sticks to his principles by not attending Speedway because of 'Double Points' - I take the moral high ground there too. Remove 'Double Points' and I will return to Speedway immediately - until then I will not pay good money to be upset and angry every time the Black and White Helmet appears.

I do not visit the Elite League Section of this Forum very often. Some of the Threads I have read tonight sadden me. I have not Posted on any of them, despite being mentioned on a couple. Back to the Premier League Section - they do things better there.

Mmmmmmmmmmm - interesting fact. Look who is at number Twenty Two. It seems Jerzy Szczakiel was a more popular and more respected Rider than some on here give him credit. EDIT: I do accept, however, that the year the Survey was taken is also relevant. Obviously current Riders at that time would be more in the minds eye than those like say Vic Duggan who were part of the Sport's History even then.

If I had to rank my best American Riders that I had seen I would go for (in order): i) Hancock ii) Penhall iii) Autrey For BW's benefit Ermolenko would be fourth. It's all about opinion though - and that is mine.
