I can't help but feel sorry for Cardiff, especially all of those good folk who have already booked up accomodation, transport etc. Bit of a kick in the teeth really. As a Belle Vue fan, I am, of course, very pleased a Grand Prix has been given to Belle Vue, but Cardiff has really done very well for Speedway over the years. We should be very grateful to them. A very sad decision for me.

Jack Millen and Tony Childs had what I would call an aggressive style, coupled with a "thou shalt not pass" attitude. Aye, indeed, those were the days!!!

I do hope somewhere can be found for Wolverhampton Speedway. I say this through gritted teeth as Wolves were partly responsible for the closing of my track, Sunderland 'Saints' back in 1964. I do, however, wish them the best of luck in this day and age. Speedway needs clubs like Coventry, Swindon and Wolverhampton.

I would just like to, once again, wish 'Bees' fans lots of luck in the future. You deserve your great efforts to succeed.

Hey, I'm an 'oldie' and I am into Speedway, Cricket and Football. 😳 You can't stereotype groups of people like you have done. 😉 By the way - I detest Golf. Boring as hell and it spoils a good walk. 🙄

I tell you what I did forget. 1964 Sunderland 'Saints' Racejacket - all red with a white running stick type man with halo above his head in the centre (running to the left) An example :- http://www.newcastlespeedwayhistory.co.uk/Sunderland.htm Vic Ridgeon the rider 2nd from the right in the Team photograph shows it very well. My thanks again to John Skinner. I don't know how I forgot to mention that - they introduced me to Speedway all those years ago.
