  1. Horrified at the bad rep Black pudding is getting on here! What's wrong with you lot
  2. Signs of life from Paco tonight. Baby steps!
  3. No mate I'm a fully fledged member too! I made pre season predictions that Paco would hit a 5 point average and do ok. At the moment I'm looking a little silly but I still have faith!!
  4. I said this yesterday, they're playing it safe. April showers and all that. Can hit anywhere at any time. Yesterday all forecasts said heavy thundery showers for Ipswich, we never had one.
  5. No rain forecast on any I've looked at until midnight this evening.. https://twitter.com/ipswichspeedway/status/720577507267842053 Again, track looks very very slick to me but I'm no track expert!
  6. Fantastic to see great progress being made by Danyon Hume in such a short space of time. From novice ex trials rider on a 3ish average, to scoring double figures in all three of his opening NL meetings at Brum this season. Good lad!
  7. Think they're all hedging their bets. Heavy isolated showers it seems could hit anywhere at anytime.
  8. I can't find a forecast that predicts any rain at all on Thursday.
  9. Louis not a happy bunny.. From the EADT "It wasn't very good," Louis said. "I'm very disappointed with the start to the season, two poor performances and one OK one. "There are key issues with key riders and I intend to address them quickly. "I'm not naming names and I won't be doing anything immediately, but neither will this be allowed to carry on. "Only Nico Covatti did his job at Rye and he has had less meetings so far this season than practically any of the team. There is no panic, but I will be looking for a big improvement starting at Foxhall on Thursday. " Well at least he's not making excuses or putting a positive spin on it like some do. Probably giving one or two a kick up the rear end to try and get them going as there's about half the team that have ridden well below their capabilities so far. Let's see if that gets a positive reaction on Thursday..
  10. Is the home meeting Vs Sheffield on the 23rd a LC or PL meeting? The Ipswich website has it down as LC, whilst both the Sheffield website and the BSPA website has the fixture as PL. I may be going mad but I'm sure it was also down on the Ipswich website as a PL fixture as well a couple of weeks back. I'm just wondering as our home LC fixture against Sheffield last week was postponed, maybe they've now rearranged it to take place on the 23rd instead of the PL fixture. Guess we'll find out soon enough
  11. Forgot to say well done to Rye after having a whinge about our efforts! Good solid home win and a confidence booster to open your PL campaign with a victory.
  12. A little patience needed we're only three meetings in. Can't get away from the fact it's been a disappointing start though and I still think the team looks decent on paper. Unfortunately three of our most important riders in King, Kerr and Sargeant have started pretty poorly. Not a single win from King last night and that just isn't good enough from your number one and by his standards. I'm confident things will get better though and I'm not pressing the panic button just yet.
  13. I wouldn't get carried away with the Rye team, they'll face much better opposition than us that's for sure. We look utter poo at the moment it has to be said!
  14. The "fee" I'm told, was little more than a slightly inflated loan fee. No big deal.
  15. Agree with bruv just one of those situations that was out of everybody's control. Track prep must have been a nightmare as well. Rain forecast for anywhere between 8 and 10 so do you water the track or not? Just one of those frustrating speedway nights!
  16. Track is now looking a bit greasy it has to be said. Not heavy rain, but raining..
  17. It's stopped and has hardly even dampened the ground, but it's definitely in the air and very iffy..
