Everyone said that Lanham being at number 1 last year was the reason his average dropped, but this year he's not at 1 and he's been even worse. He's the one that should be backing up Barker but I'm afraid he looks a spent force. Could cost Ippo in the end. If Louis is serious about winning the title, then maybe a change is the order of the day IF a better alternative could be found. -

Was about to say the same about Barker. Cook and Doyle are great number 1's, but when Barker is on song he's the best and most entertaining rider in the PL bar none. He's the type of rider you don't mind paying good money to watch. -
Who is claiming to be an expert?

Ahh fairy Nuff. Good signing for Eastbourne talented lad.
-
Stoneman couldn't be an asset of any club until he turned 16 in September. I don't think he's signed a club contract with anyone yet although with Chris Louis promoting at Mildenhall, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't snapped up at Ipswich.

Rumour has it he's off to Ipswich in the PL.

If you want to spin that comment like that then that is entirely up to you. -

You could say Workington got an advantage in the first place facing Ipswich minus their in form rider due to a late international call up and their key reserve. At the end of the day your promotion were given the opportunity to replay the meeting this week with Ipswich apparently happy to do so, but your promotion not so. In that instance their should only be one outcome and that is the one that happened. You Worky fans should just accept it and stop whining like a bunch of girls!! I'd have thought you had more pressing worries to get your knickers in a twist over. -
Adding assets is clearly more than "smoke and mirrors", as Ipswich signing King as a club asset a few years ago has earned them some much needed cash recently which we're led to believe was badly needed to solve a cash flow problem. Whilst the asset base is clearly an irritation to Mr Snackette, it's clearly alive and kicking as it has been for several years, with loan fees and transfer fees being paid for rider movement. That isn't going to change anytime soon, so it's understandable why Chris Louis is hell bent on building Ipswich' asset base up. Surely far better to have a team of your own assets with no loan fees paid to other clubs, and assets not used, loaned to others to generate more income, than loan seven riders from other clubs and pay out seven loan fees! We've heard all the "it will only take one rider to challenge the ruling in a court of law for the whole asset system to collapse" tripe for more years than I care to remember and it STILL hasn't happened. They clearly have a rule and an understanding between promotions and riders alike, that they all accept and are happy to continue abiding by.

Thats what I thought as well. You can replace a rider with another up to and including the average of the rider he's replacing.
-
Hopefully someone will give the lad an opportunity soon then. Clearly looks to have something about him, good age too.
-
How old is the lad Nielsen? Anyone seen enough of the lad to think he is ready and could do a job at reserve in the PL?
-
And last season Ipswich signed 3 whilst Somerset only signed the one. What is your point exactly? All this "your team hasn't got a Brit while mine has" stuff is utter nonsense. All the Brits that are good enough and wanted, were signed. Those that weren't, were deemed not good enough and not wanted. Ipswich swapped Mills and Hart for Tungate and Heeps, pretty hard to argue that they didn't do the right thing.
-
Don't be surprised if Nathan signs on for Ipswich.
-
Exactly.
-
Well yes to both obviously. Ipswich have just sold an "asset" which your promoter has just said has given the club added security.
-
I'd say it was pretty big news to be fair and a little surprising. Are Ipswich planning a prolonged stay in the Premier league? Signing up Doolan and Risager as club assets and selling the only real Elite asset they have in King, would suggest so.
-
Ippo should go for Gjedde.

Holder's 2009 starting average was 8.80.
