  1. Have they? Must have missed that..
  2. AGM next weekend isn't it? Think it's safe to presume we'll be remaining in the PL? Could be wrong of course, but I think if there were intentions there to return to the EL next season we'd have probably heard a few rumours by now.
  3. I wouldn't be so sure of that. When the Ipswich Star stopped their long running financial support, we went without a first team sponsor for a few years before Sackers came along.
  4. An important close season for us this year. Just realised this was the last season of "Sackers" three year sponsorship deal. Will be interesting if they stay on board and renew or decide they've done enough. Will have a huge bearing on our plans for 2016 I'd have thought.
  5. We've also "been there and done that!" With Tungate and Heeps for how many years now? I'd take the been there and done that duo of Barker and Worrall over the two Aussies every time.
  6. Where's Morten more to the point? Very surprised that he isn't in the line up I would have thought he'd be one of the first signed up.
  7. Pretty sure that's the case for every club isn't it? You'll always get more through the gate if your team is competitive compared to not
  8. Disappointing that Wilson-Dean isn't fit to take his place I was looking forward to seeing him. At least his intended inclusion by the promotion shows that he's possibly on the clubs radar.
  9. Wilson-Dean had a big off for Eastbourne last night and is out of their meeting against Rye today. So after all that's been said on here maybe we won't get to see him after all. Anyway hope the lad is not too beaten up and get well soon.
  10. Cant really understand any other reason why he'd be in the line up to be honest. Interesting..
  11. Agree. Have we ever included a NL rider in this type of event before? Makes the meeting all the more interesting for me now it'll be interesting to see how the lad performs in this kind of company.
  12. There's plenty on here that will defend Hawkins through rain or shine. But the fact is he was shocking on track, and there is argument he was poor OFF track too? The first meeting after he was axed, John Louis was quoted as saying the team morale and atmosphere was so positive that it's pretty damning against Ritchie Hawkins. Think it's safe to predict that Ritchie Hawkins will be nowhere near a Witches team place in 2016. Heeps probably gets a bit of flack, because he came to these shores as a huge talent who many predicted ( including Andy Hines) would rise to the top in world speedway. Won pretty much everything at youth level in Australia and ripped up the UK NL in his first season, rising from reserve to dominant number 1 in one season. Injuries have definitely hampered his progress so some slack should be reserved for that, but even taking that it in to account, he's still been disappointing
  13. I agree with Scotsman agreeing with Louis I've said it before and I'll say it again, I feel really sorry for Louis he's desperate to win the title as he openly concedes, and every winter he puts together strong looking teams capable of doing just that. But once again, this year the team have under performed and badly let him down. I still can't get me head around how a team that was tipped pre season as "title favourites", had a dominant number 1 and a reserve ringer who put three points on his average, still weren't good enough for a place in the top 6!!? And that's with a more than capable quintet in the middle of those including Tungate, Heeps and Manzares. Pretty shocking really. Never mind Chris have another bash mate!
  14. Seems it won't be below 6.00 in the final GSA's.
  15. Agree with this. If you can get 4 heat leaders in your team like those mentioned above who can all potentially score double figures, while finding a diamond 3 pointer who does a lot better than expected and chips in with decent points then you're laughing. Would imagine those type of teams are expensive though, with the 4 heat leaders on a decent points money.
  16. Didn't read the Star, was he hinting he's had enough?
  17. Hopefully include one or two who might be in the plans for next year. Maybe give the two youngsters in the NL that are catching the eye a go and have a closer look at them.
  18. Yes I was thinking maybe we'd have had some sort of comment from the promotion now our season is dead and buried. I'm sure Mike Bacon is on the case and we'll hear their thoughts in the coming days.
  19. Covatti is an absolute must. Riders like him are like rocking horse poo these days he's an absolute joy to watch. I couldn't even care less if he didn't up his average either, he'd still be the first name on the team sheet for me.
  20. I think it all depends what Louis wants to be honest lewy. If Louis wants Morten in his team in 2016, then he'll be at Ipswich.
  21. Of course. Wouldn't expect anything else from Morten to be honest, he's a true professional. Not too sure we should be going back down the Risager route, because just like the current team members that have been mentioned, they've all been a big part of the Witches over the last few years that have ultimately failed to deliver. We should be trying something else completely new with 4 or 5 new faces IMO, but if Risager did end up returning, I wouldn't be too disappointed with it. A few on here would be mind!
  22. Exactly the reason we didn't make the play offs. With all due respect to those that came and beat us at Foxhall as I'm sure they'll think they were brilliant more than we were poor, but we lost home meetings to teams we should be beating every time at home, simple. I've seen Morten use the outside at Foxhall too, many many times. At Foxhall, some weeks the inside is the fastest way round so that would often be the line he used the most. But to say he only knows one line and never uses the outside line is a quote I've never agreed with to be honest. Risager is a good rider. Never going to be a number 1, but a good solid rider none the less.
