  1. How can Stead say that Lambert did'nt need any help as he was quick enough, because when Woffinden left him on his own on last bend Lagutta left him for dead.
  2. Why do you whinge & cry so much about Woffinden not riding in this country when judging by most of your post's you don't like the bloke. So why would you want to go and watch him, therefore making his appearence in this country irrelevant to you.
  3. And Holder's behaviour and attitude have been spot on for the last couple of year's.
  4. He most probably had a bad back from carrying the team. When he won the British Title it was simply because it was on his home track, but proved his superiority over the best of the rest with his performance in the WTC final at the new home of the british final and with all things being equal would have won for the last 2 years, perhaps he wanted to give others the chance to be British champion.
  5. What is the difference in him wanting to make the decisions to set himself up financialy and Doctor's and Nurses being trained by the NHS and decide to work for agencies on double the money or people being trained by one company and the leaving for another for better money. Why would you think any sportsman does what he/she does to entertain the public (a public judging by the comments who don't like him and refer to him as an Australian) and not for the money Don't you think him not riding for GB had anything to do with the muppets who ran the GB team, which now seems obvious with the change in management.
  6. I know i'm setting myself up for the piss takers on this site, but I have suffered from depression and anxiety for most of my adult life. Over the years the anxiety has got so bad I hate being amongst people and at times even family (Christ knows why), if CC anxiety is that bad he would'nt be riding in front of 50k people. He also should'nt expect the rest of the world to pander to his wants and walk on eggshells when around him.
  7. Why would you work for a pittance when you can set yourself up for life, especially in a short career that can be ended abruptly. Before you say he deserted British speedway after using us as a training school, why do you think all these overseas riders come here in there early careers for the riches on offer or learning there trade and then buggar off to Poland or Sweden to make there fortune. Don't you think anybody with an IQ above that of a mump would do the same.
  8. Sorry if i've missed it somewhere else but in the top league will teams meet each other twice at home and twice away.
  9. Is the one 8.00 point man per team the excuse for the non appearence of all the world stars, or will Woffinden, Hancock, Pedersen etc be given a sub 8 point average to accommodate the stampede of all these stars breaking their necks to ride in this country.
  10. If the God's (sorry Poles) restrict the amount of leagues that riders can ride in, then this makes this topic rather redundant. The only way to improve attendances is a bigger league where teams visit once a year (twice if there's a cup) and regular meetings on a regular race-night. The leagues can hardly be dumbed down anymore, why not share the riders out fairly to help teams from championship to compete on equal terms and pay what they can afford if the riders don't like go and get a proper job (or part-time as nearly all did years ago). I know this will lead to much gnashing of teeth of cheque book speedway but nearly all other sports are run this way and seem to be increasing attendances along the way.
  11. Thought Nikki Pedersen was Danish.
  12. I think Australia will declare and go home early. Our only chance is the others can't see for tears of laughter. It's obvious whether you like him or not Woffinden's only problem seems to be with Rossiter, and now it appears most of the GB supporters feel the same way.
  13. I agree he shouldn't he be considered for any GB team until he states during the winter he wishes to ride for GB in the next season. To say he wouldn't be a loss to the country is about the most idiotic statement I have read on here ( and there's been quite a few ). Why should he race under the Australian flag when he carries a GB passport, is it because he has put his ambitions to be a multi-world champion ahead of the wishes of the BSPA ( an organisation whose members put their own agenda's ahead of the good of the sport in this country ). I presume that if he took out an Australian license that would make him a candidate for a team place at King's Lynn ( to replace your number 1 who is obviously lowering his average for a triumphant return to Poole next season ).
  14. A bit like changing the times of the Olympics to suit N America and buggar the rest of the world.
  15. Any chance of getting Woffinden back now he's going to be doing buggar all in Poland/Sweden ?
