  1. Alas won't be there Mr. Morosely as Goldberg is not travelling up to Nawfook tonight.
  2. Then Mark would plug the gap admirably.
  3. Don't think so! Mark's average = 6.93, Adam's = 5.62!
  4. Hope that revelation hasn't put the mockers on the weather for later!
  5. My mate Scoop would have been having kittens had Dennis Mallett been involved out there on track in that race HT - so would Mike, myself and you I'll wager!
  6. I'm sure everybody's thoughts this morning will be with Young Star Adam Lowe who crashed heavily in his opening ride last night and appears to have broken a bone in his back. It was a very nasty crash indeed but the medical crew at the NA were superb, taking every precaution as the tended to him on the track, and he was off to hospital with minimum delay. As I said our thoughts are with him and hopefully we'll get an update on his progress later in the day. Whilst that obviously put something of a dampener on proceedings, Adam's crash apart, it was a cracking first match of the season at this level at the NA with both sides playing their full part. Jake Knight's paid 18 return speaks for itself as one of the high spot - his winning time of 61.20 in heat 2 being quicker that winning times recorded by Dan Nermark, Tomas Topinka, Olly Allen, Ben Barker AND Kryzstof Kasprzak in the senior Stars recent home match against Birmingham! My other top moments were Barrie Evans and Marc Owen's rides in heats 13 & 15.
  7. And indeed it's great to see Deano, who has been such a loyal servant to the sport, get a team place for 2011!
  8. No one's mentioned "the legend" that is Barry Thomas had a skid have they? OR the fact that the other Hackney legend that is 'Hawkeye' won the raffle! Talk about money going to money!
  9. Some might say Paul (Although I personally couldn't comment!) that you wouldn't have to learn much to be a Twit!
  10. Now as if the legendary Thommo would be doing such a thing at HIS age!
  11. Alas not Peasepud my old mucker (ageing is a process that affects us all - me and you included!) You see I have just returned from rural Nawfook and realised that I'll be AT King's Lynn on Monday, NOT watching on the gogglebox as you'll no doubt be doing!
  12. Wish I had TIME to have one! IOW Mon / Tue... KL tonight, Swindon tomorrow, Arena Friday, Hackney Saturday, STRA at King's Lynn Sunday... collapse Monday!
  13. Come along to Rye House on Saturday and see for yourself then.... I'll bet you a quid (only a quid merely because money is obviously tight in the auditing game! ) that you'll be very pleasantly surprised at the size of the attendance AND the quality of the racing! See you there! Bryn
  14. Doesn't that comment apply to MOST products you buy nowadays??? Surely in your capacity of a "senior auditor" you, more than most, should accept that? For example what sort of fees do auditors charge nowadays?
  15. Er... Do you mean THE Jorgy Worgy Puddin 'n Pie who kissed the boys / girls (whichever their preference!) and made 'em cry?
  16. Your "PA" Judy? Blimey - you're going up in the world!
  17. Blimey! Shadders treating you to gourmet fish 'n chips??
  18. I would hope you 'dukes' would see fit to apologise to Sue. Given that everything is voluntary on her behalf and both texters from the circuits and updaters I personally think your comments are totally out of order!
  19. I'm sure a quick message from someone with authority to do so on behalf of the touring side to the webmaster of the BSPA site and/or the BSPA Office / Press Office setting out any official changes necessary, will rectify any problems.
  20. The Isle of Wight have today announced the completion of their 1 to 7 with the signing of Paul Starke on a full transfer from Plymouth. For complete story go to: http://www.speedwaygb.co/
  21. Dear me Parsnips old fruit! Shouldn't you have alluded to the fact that it's actually 'world renowned concert pianist' Jonathon Burrows as was mentioned over the PA at Rye House last Saturday when he was spotted on the terraces?!
  22. Let's hope it does come about BUT what about the reported time restrictions? If those are correct surely it will be ultra difficult to make it viable? Depends what you mean by "was run there perfectly successfully." The venue can most certainly stage it BUT, is it viable to do so? Fair comment BUT what if, unlikely as it probably is, a venue for the sport becomes available at say Dover or Maidstone or, dare I say it near Crayford? Using the proposed embracing "Kent Speedway" tag would have to be changed possibly?
  23. Certainly it will be possible to hold speedway at the venue and maybe even this year but, as Parsnips has said above, whether or not it proves feasible remains to be seen although I'm sure everyone would love to see more venues open up.
