Any advice on parking? We're aiming to drive into Cardiff and spending the day looking round before heading to the stadium. Is there any city centre parking or is park and ride the way ahead?

It's my first trip to Cardiff so don't know what to expect exactly so I'm after some advice. Firstly and most importantly when is tapes up? I've seen that engines start at 5pm but I imagine this isn't the time for heat no. 1, is it recommended to get there early to 'soak' up the atmosphere. Also is there any parking near the stadium or is park and ride the best option? Thanks in advance!
