  1. I think that depends how long he is out for.
  2. I stood on the backstraight and the dirt was flying, I had shale in my glass how rude
  3. I think he could do with a few more (practice) meetings to be a NO1 but he was good and as Montie says Nathan Greaves was impresive infact it was a very good meeting to say none of the lads were getting paid and put to good use the valuable track time.
  4. I'll give you a sensible answer. There is a train of thought that think DH should sell up and do one. Some people wont rest till that happens. It's not really the track it's the promoter
  5. Lee Dicken was a revelation to be fair and it was really nice to see C Dwyer doing so well for his first meeting back but all riders did well considering the weather conditions and the fact it was a second meeting and the track may not have been as well preped as the first :-)
  6. OK I keep getting accused of the posting the bleeding pointless. Right. Passing Bjerre seemed to manage it (he isn't my favorite) Hall seemed to manage it (I liked him when he rode for us). Only 2 riders I agree but maybe there were only 2 riders there that could the track wont help that!!!!! People are quoting the laws of physics well how is this for a law you can only go past somebody if you are going faster then them. Mistakes Riders who make mistakes when put under pressure......... isn't that the whole idea put the rider in front under pressure so he stuffs up and then you pass him .........but i'm no expert.
  7. I'll start this one aswell then. I think most Lions supporters favor the social network medium but I am surprised at Tigers supporters apethy
  8. Only 2 days to go getting quietly excited and slightly optimistic.
  9. Shouldn't this discussion be moved to the relevant thread
  10. Well everyone else is doing it so lets start a topic. Who will win? my money's on the weather ;(
  11. All the best to Jari will miss him at BP this season
  12. [quote name=Jonny the spud' timestamp='1363615672' post='2254372] The home team refused to ride on their press and practice day as they deemed the track unsafe. Where does that leave your argument ? On the fact that 4 or 5 lads in the field didn't fall once.
  13. [quote name=Fromafar' timestamp='1363602422' post='2254293] I wasn't there but without detracting from all the young riders who went out and gave "it a go' this a problem with modern day speedway ,wet tracks ,slick tracks heavy tracks with too much dirt seems to be always the topic.Speedway like other motorcyling sports is meant to be about throttle control and taking the track conditions into account. Modern technology has made a speedway bike a "handful" unless the rider has a proper "set -up" and are in control of their machine which nowadays a lot of rider seem to struggle with. The weather plays the major part in track prep IMO but the sport is really suffering from riders being unable too ride to the track conditions that confront them. Me might aswell race on tarmac ovals then at least you know what to expect. It is little wonder the sport is struggling to attact "new " fans and keep them. Well said :)
  14. Oh ok, bit out of touch what was the qualification criteria because a couple would have missed out Connor Dwyer being 1 that springs to mind but i'm not sure of the ages of others
  15. Isn't there another round ?
  16. [quote name=Roger Jacobs' timestamp='1363535398' post='2254036] Martin Knuckey's dob = 4th September 1992. Thanks I wasn't sure.
  17. [quote name=Islander15' timestamp='1363427467' post='2253710] The track passed the inspection and there should be racing tonight! The expected changes to the line-up are Tyler Govier, Matt Williamson and Martin Knuckey stepping up to replace Jake Knight, Connor Coles and Richard Franklin. Is Knuckey under 21?
  18. Whats your point ? I'd buy a porsche but they just wont accept my offer 'how rude'
  19. Sceptic words if ever I saw :/
  20. [quote name=jim the whipper' timestamp='1362489862' post='2250507] Is it really ? Synonyms 2. Diplomatic, ability to avoid offending others or hurting their feelings, especially in situations where this ability is important. Diplomatic suggests a smoothness and skill in handling others, usually in such a way as to attain one's own ends and yet avoid any unpleasantness or opposition: . Courtesy of Dictionary .com Thanks for backing up my theory saves me the trouble but then you do seem to have more time on your hands. I on the flipside to be honest am too busy 'living'
  21. Being diplomatic is cleaverly avoiding the question. Saying you like the track when you don't is lieing:)
  22. [quote name=robert72' timestamp='1362423566' post='2250273] I am not suggesting he is not telling the truth. What would you call it then. Enlighten us please
  23. Oh dear we appear to have gone full circle........again!!!!
  24. [quote name=Mr Blobby' timestamp='1362096897' post='2249344] Edinburgh jackets are around the same price and they sell a decent amount of them each year. People can chose to buy or not to buy and if they are overpriced they will chose the latter and the promotion will make no bunce !!! Is my point:) Well i'd say no. 3 is the real topic of discussion and has been for 2 years now and if he were to do one so would all the other topics:) [quote name=volty' timestamp='1362122446' post='2249365] Cheers TMW, i guess you mean me as i'm far too interested in my Mick. It's my opinion and I was entitled to it last time I checked
