Why not go the whole hog and say that is what Grasstrack and MX is for. Grasstrack isn't speedway for beginners it's a different sport all together
-
Are you all in for a treat on here next season.
-
It could be to even things out. Maybe some of the EL teams just don't have the home grown talent, yet!!!so for this season and possibly next teams will be allocated riders then in subsequent years they will have to develop their own. KL have the pick of the YS. Wolves have the pick of Dudley, Cov have the Storm and Birmingham could maybe make a pair out of the 2 but where would Lakeside, for example, draw from? This needs to be taken in the wider context not just the here and now. You need to give things time to work. I would be interested in weather the experiment stands the test of time. I hope it does. You'd think that the sharing out of riders would be done sensibly. It will be interesting to see what the riders 'on the list' think
-
You have summed it up nicely. My team are talking of going EL I'm not that keen but I will go because I have had what I've wanted and it's time for someone else, with my support.

I don't think it matters what the points limit is. At the end of the day if you want a good no.1 the goodnumber 1's are going to demand, whatever their average. The high scoring reserve who lets face it is onlyhigh scoring because they are on a false average will still demand. If they can score 12/13 on a 3.00 or 5.00 they are not a 3.00 or a 5.00 point rider simples!. It's supply and demand. Averages are massaged to suit the climate and the public are cheated something needs to be done about that aswell and the more the points are lowered the more that will go on.

I would have thought so. There wouldn't be enough U21's if they were to include the PL. You would need 40 odd unless they double up. Has anyone heard what leagues they are all riding in?. I imagine that would be the 1st point on the agenda
-
If they could come up with a plan that would reinvigorate the sport TV would be knocking on his door
-
Although I agree whole heartedly with your post the fact remains there is little point in agreeing stuff that a broadcaster may want to change anyway. I would say that is where the problem lies. At the end of the day the broadcaster calls the shots and Russell will be desperate for a deal as he makes a packet

Press release is now on the BSPA website. It is wait and see until the AGM's are done.
-
Fair enough. I suppose that does put a different slant on things

Surely Kake will go to BV

What Can Be Done For Young British Riders.
TMW replied to Jonny the spud's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
British riders don't need preferential treatment just a fair crack of the whip. Possibly an easy comparison to make but bringing Ryan Douglas halfway round the world instead of having Kerr which lets face it the only option Kerr had at the beginning of 2013 was a double up place at Leicester with Blackbird until Jason King decided he wasn't fit and Newcastle found themselves in a sticky situation. -
I suppose the rider will be safe if they can't ride !!!!!!!
-
To be fair there was a lot of pressure on the reserves and Kirby did start well which raised expectations and pressure.
-
But wouldn't it have been better if the RH promotion had set up a corporate identity and then announced themselves as promoters of KK as well as RH?. That's all I'm saying I just wish sometimes the sport had a better image and these kind of things don't seem to help. Lets look forward to the new season with positivity. On a positive note I thought the updates on the website were brilliant and even though a couple of errors once in a while they were always corrected and excused lets hope they continue next year
-
People are deciding....with their feet not just at RH but all over. I hope it is a success after all the work that went into promoting it and getting it ready. Hope you enjoy your speedway :-)
-
At the beginning of the season assurances were given that Len Silver was only 'Promotor in mentor' and RH was completely separate from the KK are we to assume that was an untruth now?. It's little wonder people are sceptical.
-
Hopefully someone will put us right.
-
But surely if he rode on that average how ever many meetings it would be 'current'.
-
You certainly won't be getting any I told you so's from me. I will just be pleased we have survived another season. Proving whether you are right or wrong holds no consequence to me.
-
He rode for Stoke last year? ;-/
-
Trouble is as no one knows who he is or even if his name is Mick (he could be alluding to Mickey Mouse or even taking the ...., Isuppose)Then people wont take him seriously. It is very easy to come on here and hide and spout all the bile you want to. People even hide behind assumed names on FB these days......... Sad. People have even been known to have multi accounts on here just to agree with each other and they call me childish :-)
-
If Simon Lambert is on a 5 it will go on sealed bids I imagine and that goes for whichever Lambert you are referring to :-)

Mildenhall V Iow - Re-aranged Now 24/10
TMW replied to Great Central's topic in National League Speedway
To be fair to Mildy the pressure was on them with it being the 2nd leg as the pressure was on the Islanders in the 1st run. The 2nd leg at home is always difficult. The Islanders just had to ride with no expectations the Tigers HAD to win. I can't see the final being completed either which is sad.
