Oh I see you have to have a season in a 1 - 7 to have a season do you? You don't have to have as many meetings as being in a full 1 - 7 then. but not gain an avearge. I didn't say Heeps was doing badly but the couple of times I have seen him he seemed to struggle. Am I not free to post wherever I want ??? -

It's Richie's 3rd actually but his first was cleary managed to give him plenty of competitive rides and nursing his 3 pt average ready for 2011 season. Nothing wrong with that in fact a master stroke I would say Once again I cant deny the lad has done well but you could get your facts right when you arguing a point. You may care to take a look at this; .http://speedwayresults.com/rider.php?name=Richie&surname=Worrall&season=2010 I think Worrall and Roynon are good for the league 1 they do attract spectators and 2 it gives the rookies an idea of the PL & EL and the work to do to get to that standard because you name Kyle Howarth but some lads do struggle with the transition as Cameron Heeps, to name but 1, is proving. -
Halifax Withdraw From Mdl + Njl

There was an issue at Leicester the other week where 4 riders turned up for Stoke but only 2 rode one had bike problems and one crashed out in his first heat and riders can only ride 4 heats. I am only guessing but there may have been a problem where the ref wouldn't allow the meeting to go ahead.a rider was stopped last year because of licence issues. So I wouldn't put the onas on the teams but it would be interesting to know what happened. Hopefully the meeting was closed and let the lads have a practice so they didn't have a wasted journey eh!!!!!!! -

Really sorry to hear that as they were a part of the initial JL set up that has gone on to help so many lads gain confidence and good meaningful racing. Rules as possibly very tight now which can make it difficult to operate on occasions. Thank you Geoff for the work you have done. -

Unless you are a 3 point rider or a number 1 you are out in the cold when it comes to guesting. The NL rules are so tight these days to ensure young boys are included they have frozen out a fair few lads but heyho onwards and upwards -
Last year Craig Cooke was the 'next best thing'. This year R Worrall is 'the next best thing' next year R Lambert will be the next best thing can this country not focus on more than 1 rider???? No wonder we only have one Brit hanging on by his finger nails. Back to topic all the best to JG much maligned but a great lad a great team player.

I think you will find that most riders follow the wishes of the capt. It would be unfair for some of the riders to say they will ride this has happened before with other safety issues. and it makes for a specticle for all the wrong reasons. So whereas some riders may ride in all conditions others wouldn't anyway the lengthy sun off for the Somerset meeting is a wide spread acceptance as playing for time and completly unique circumstances and shall we say didn't help anyway.

I've known it at Mildenhall Or never went!!!!

I thought you had crawled back under your stone.

No problem. Riders are picked up and dropped at that age and it does them no favors trust me I know. Jack and Jayne have a reputation for sticking with riders through thick and thin and other teams are now following the same ethos which is refreshing to see and to hell with this nonsense of blaming 1 rider for winning and losing meetings when there are 6 other riders in the team. They have to start somewhere. BW is entitled to his/her opinion as a paying guest but as has become apparent it takes a good 2 seasons to get a rider going there are one ot two ala Max Clegg and Nathan Stoneman who are naturals but riders aren't all the same Micheal could be that reserve next year who wins meetings for the team keep up the good work.

I keep reading this about Neale I must admit to not having seen him ride in the NL but I must say I saw him at BV a couple of weeks back and apart from bike problems which I think affected the crowd more than him he looked fine and BV isn't an easy track to ride.

A poster asked a question. I didn't say whether it was right or wrong just offered an opinion on the answer because the real answer we will never know and also refering to the fact that there are some poor foreign riders with places. I feel if Promoters have had problems with British riders in the past. which I have heard 2 promoters claim 3 if you count 2 a promoter and a team manager from different teams in the same interview. This shouldn't rub off on all British riders.all riders should be treated as individuals not as a collective. I'm sure there are foreign riders who can be difficult. The reference to riding in the Danish league could be a reason why he isn't riding in the british PL he doesn't have the time and he could maybe earn more in the NL. I wasn't sure if people were aware he rides in Denmark. Best of luck to the lad.
-
I have heard 2 promoters now one EL and one PL site the attitude of the Brit riders standing in their way. I for one don't like the sound of that as it sounds like the 'many' are suffering because of the 'few' and some lads are being tarnished incorrectly but if he has been offered guest bookings and turned them down for 'other committments' and I believe he rides in the danish league aswell then I supose eventually people will stop asking.

Dean often 'alludes' to the young riders not knowing how the bike works and what the bike actually does aswell as wanting the latest gear on it, he calls it bling. He does have a point although generalising I think is unfair but. .Your assessment of the NL is more prevolent now but hasn't always been the case. Mike Lee said he wanted Josh Bates to learn and enjoy this is a theme that should run throughout. You are right of course but how many times have you heard X should do well cos he likes the bigger tracks or not expecting much from X cos he likes small tight tracks. I speak from a laymans point of view of course, I'm no expert.
-
I don't think Dean was alluding to the dirt on the track he was refering to the lazy young riders who don't get into the workshop enough to deal with nuts and bolts, they would rather pay expensive tuners. My experience is different . The fact of the matter is riders aren't allowed to learn the craft of riding and trackcraft they are under too much pressure to perform soem riders will prefer small tracks others will prefer big tracks it's all down to riding style. If you get a team full of riders who prefer bigger tracks then they are going to get hammered ala KL at Dudley and Stoke at Buxton. I don't think it is anymore technical than that. But you are right about the mentality Dean some riders are beaten before the tapes go up.....Maybe teams could work on the psychological aspects of the rider rather than just the physiscal

Here's hoping Tom does well and does himself the justice he deserves !!!!!!!!!!!

Thats good to see. I think it adds meaning to the meetings if it is the Juniors of the Seniors if you know what I mean.
-
No just NL meetings. I think, and I am only guessing, because not all teams participate in all meetings of NL trophy nad KOC and anyway I'm sure some would use it to their dvantage.

Think you may see a different Young Stars. It's no secret they don't like Monmore Wood (i'm mean that in the nicest sense of the word). But fair play for giving it a go -
I suppose time will tell. I just hope that all these ideas Glynn has can wait a while as I think at the moment changes to the set up is the last thing we need but I could be wrong

And as usual BBC WM were top draw. I prefered to listen to the covearge rather than watch the sky meeting.
