  1. I was replying to Leicester Lion who was arguing riders want an easy ride implying that you want to be in front safely in the knowledge that no one will pass you
  2. That argument only applies to 5-1 and 1-5 situations otherwise riders are losing money if they miss the gate or can't gate and can't pass so there is at least 2 riders poss 3 in each race that would moan
  3. I suspect tha JTS argument is about Adams earning potential as much as anything else. His earning potential in the national league is quite high even on £10 a point which I doubt he is on and I quite agree he should be given the opportunity to earn as much as he can during the season.
  4. This league is about a conveyer belt of new talent the conveyer belt needs to keep moving I can see both sides you don't want new talent getting fed up waiting for places but then by the same token you need to as we say in my trade 'underpin knowledge' because you can't beat experience
  5. Well RH were talking about 5 rookies so I can't see that being an issue and i'd say Scunny would have been the same maybe not enough rookies Doesn't sound like it. Nothing in the press release and that would be quite a change.
  6. What could have happened to RH and Scunny? Oh well maybe they will re think
  7. Has there been any white smoke seen yet?
  8. I personally like the hilletts as they provide good shelter up to the stadium on the chilli windy nights
  9. And if I remember rightly he declared himself an Aussie(by riding in the Australian under 21's) and was no longer allowed to ride in the NL
  10. So if it turns out ok it's good luck rather than good judgement is it?
  11. The problem is the promoters are trying to be one force to take the sport forward (AGM) but then they go back to the individual businesses and are bitter rivals that can't work surely and, what is to say Matt Ford is doing anything wrong. I have never been to Poole but it seems to me he is running a very successful business, hence him having a big cheque book, which a few could learn from He is a businessman at the end of the day. I just hope Lee Smart doesn't get caught in the cross fire as he could do without it, to be fair. it's an awkward position to be in. Do your best for your supporters or do your best for the sport. He clearly isn't taking it very seriously or he would have studied the list and researched. I think the fact that he clearly hadn't spoken to Lee before he spoke to the press says it all really.
  12. Max was a little underwhelmed to be picked out by Leicester. Almost giving the impression he didn't know what was going on. I think the posts have been removed now
  13. Reade has ridden for Stoke for the last 3 seasons (including the colts season) improving year on year but last year was blighted by injury. Hopefully the BV track will suit him. Nielsen is the Marmite kid you love him or hate him but 1 thing is for sure you will be sat on the edge of your seat when he is at the tapes as with Garrity. :-) Enjoy your season.
  14. I believe it's on the 10th Dec......What do you mean what is it?
  15. By the same token you could also give him the benefit of the doubt and work on the principle he wasn't expecting to be picked on the other riders who were in front of him on the list and, therefore suffering from an element of shock. Maybe instant social media has it's draw backs.
  16. I maybe wrong, I probably am wrong but I thought i'd read that if they had held an average of over 5 they couldn't DU and he went over that with Sheffield.
  17. No I mean Simon. He has had a PL av of over 5 so he can't double up I believe hence the problems with Stoke & RH in 2012.
  18. I'd say there is going to be a rule change at the AGM as Rambo has been announced in PL and EL and he has posted he is awaiting 'conformation' on a NL place.
  19. Fair enough. I agree that those who have developed riders should have them but I don't know why the initial press releases insinuated they wouldn't that's the bit I can't understand. If you have developed them then you should have them if you haven't bothered then you should have what you are given
  20. I believe it was you used the Cov example anyway at least we agree the scheme is a good one.
  21. I agree whole heartedly although to be fair Garrity is hardly a product of Cov. I just don't know why they bother with rules they seem to be. Easily made easily broken So your opinion is valued. My opinion is just chuntering
  22. Fair play to KL they have worked with the Lewis' to lose out so best protecting them it does make you wonder about rules in this sport. Why do they bother with any. Why not just let each team do their thing. You never know the sport maybe all the better for it rather than the constant smoke and mirrors
