I don't know why they just don't do away with rules in the NL as everyone seems to agree to rules at the beginning of the season and then just spend the rest of the season breaking them bending them or stretching them. One of the sports brightest stars should be allowed to ride just isn't a defence, if a rule has been broken. The pure fact that they were riniging the NL coordinator in the first place to seek clarification indicates that they knew the rules prevented this facility anyway. -

Well done Kelvin for highlighting that there were more riders in the field and it wasn't just the Dan Greenwood show. I to am over the moon for Liam mind you with Dan Lowe and Simon Lambert as his pit crew. Could he fail?. . Dan has made good progress this year and he was always going to do well in the meeting but the improvement Liam has made this year is stagerring.possibly due to him having a good run out in the NL and gaining in confidence by the meeting. -
Thats for another thread this one is for conspiracy theories and general moaning only don't hijack it

To be fair the PL didn't have PO's last season they had an odd end to the season. JG was also in for the Colts from Leicester although he got injured. these PL teams this season have Po's so it is different story all together. Maybe NL should go straight to League champions if the PL are going to have Po's involving 6 teams cos the likelyhood of NL riders of the top NL clubs being involved are quite high.

Sorry just hate to see the lads get caught in the crossfire

can see your frustrations with Robert72 but don't take it out on the lads by degrading their event there is nothing wrong with the MDLRC and i'm sure they will do their very best to entertain whoever turns up to watch them

Which is how I imagine most riders feel who visit the IOW, which for any rider from midlands north can be a 15 hour journey (10 travelling) for 4 mins racing and on occasions very few points.

Who is Tracey????. Lets just see what happens in the winter eh???

Yawn!!!!!!!!!!! change the record plllleeaaaaaaasssssssssseeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

I don't know any rider who thinks like that! I think it has got more to do with the fact thei he has been able to go about his business quietly and at his own pace as opposed to the bells and whistles press releases trying to build him up too early and having nothing to live up to.

This may answer your question. It was posted after the IOW v Buxton meeting

You have to agree that the play off final last year kept everyone on the edge of their seats Scunthorpe going to Mildenhall with a massive lead and everyone predicting the win for Scunny but no one had told mildenhall and it ended up with a point in it :-) If Blackbird hadn't taken Birks out (I think) in the first run of Ht 15 and got excluded who knows. Lets hope we get the same this year. Whoever is in it !!!!!!!!!!!!

The Leicester promoter stated at the beginning of the season his aim would be to apply to EL for 2013 not sure if that is still the case if it is he would have to run a NL side aswell as his aim is also to provide speedway every week of the season. A lot of Lions fans have tried NL whilst supporting people like Hughes and Blackbird and they are massive supporters of the MDL thanks to the local lads who ride in it so it could be a goer. I would hate to see Buxton go. I hope it comes good again and repeats its success of previous years. I supose you get it in every league BV versus Poole etc it hasn't been so evident in the PL this year but then I think I remember the Glasgow management stating at the beggining of the season that buying the title last year broke them.

Mdl Needs A Rule Change
TMW replied to boston five's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Maybe the rider in question could let Steve know when he could ride as the others do. They take the fixture list and express availablilty for the fixtures. It is up to the rider to do some of the donkey work after all when they hit the NL the phone wont ring off the hook either until they become a desirable commodity. You are quite right in what you say Kelvin since the project started it has gone from strength to stength but........With much stricter rules this year fielding a team has become more difficult or it may just be people don't want to ride for L E and has made the TM's posibly more proactive rather than just taking the easy option, btw Liam couldn't have ridden on Sunday as he was at Scunny with Stoke so there was no choice to make anyway. I fully understand there are rules and they need abiding by but unfortunatley the success of the leagues has not proved to be the main talking point which is sad. It has been; ineligable riders, teams breaking rules etc etc. and this leaves those left out in the cold even more frustrated.
