Forgive my flippancy but aren’t they one of the same
-
They’ll argue it gives their existing riders more track time.

There are hardly words !!

Armadale Devils v Berwick Bullets (Friday 7 May 7.30)
TMW replied to edmon's topic in National League Speedway
Of course results have to matter. It’s a sport, winning is the end game. Whether it’s CL PL or 2nd Half. I’ve heard this before you’ve got to have a will to win. If the aim is for Championship you won’t get many promoters & Team managers in the CL saying “Just go out and enjoy yourself” and of course they have to be able to challenge weaker CL riders to gauge where they are and where they need to be!! Rothery was the stand out rider on Friday i felt Edinburgh was let down with the streaming Production team ! I didn’t get any buffeting but I thought the production and presentation was poor, comparing it to Berwick’s . Hopefully everyone will give this Friday another go -

Does anyone know, can you ‘watch again’ ? -
He hasn’t retired just taking a sabbatical. 2019 was very stressful on our family. No less thanks to people who slated my family on here relentlessly.
-
Or they could go with the ‘new dawn’ and give another 3 pointer a chance.
-
There have always been ways round the pay scales. That’s why Pay caps will never work. Development or no development teams want to win. Good to see. It’s healthy !!
-
I thought with 2 weeks to go it may have been announced. Silly me
-
do we have an average for Blair yet ?
-
If it’s not about the winning why be so strict about the points limit anyway? Never understood that in sport ! A bit like the football clubs. Just because you can’t attract the support to pay higher wages. Maybe the promoters could put more effort into attracting larger crowds than spending all their time trying to work out how to stifle the other clubs which in itself just drives down standards and affects crowds even more !! Instead of a use it or lose it culture why not give supporters a reason to go. It’s not just about getting the 15 heats over and done with (not nowadays anyway) it’s about the whole experience. It may not suit a lot of the old Skool as they like it over and done with and get home but if they want their sport to survive then it’s a trade off

Thank you
-
That must be a new rule as when Leicester & Crawley competed in the NT they had riders from other teams
-
I did say senior ‘leagues’ as a few senior teams have had to make changes. I couldn’t understand why they made such commitments !! No irony intended
-
Or maybe they just like the NL and Grass routes Speedway keeping wage demands in check and taking riders from MFS into league racing and seeing them spread into senior leagues. It’s not all about Finance for everyone, for some ‘ethos’ is just as important.
-
So why sign him in the 1st place or even pledge to track the same Team. I saw this coming when I saw these ‘commitments’ not just NL sides but senior leagues too. A year is a long time particularly during a global pandemic. That’s why I never bought the kids Xmas presents too early as you can guarantee there would be a new more exciting toy released just when you’d finished your Xmas shopping !!
-
If it’s shown that the powers that be have got any interest in developing young riders ! Bet they couldn’t name half of them. I’ll do a whole meeting on Coffee !!
-
That’s good news he certainly needed to. Good Luck for the Season !
-
Really hoping Plymouth find some form
-
It does seem like the very rules that were tightened to give him a leg up into the sport have actually frozen him out.
-
I’m sure if all the pieces were to fit it could be on option that Jackie and Barry have already thought of. Barry and Jackie deal with team matters
-
Thank you for the advice. He’s taken it onboard
-
That is why he switched the engines as apparently, so I'm told (my knowledge is pretty limited) GM just just glide over the bumpy tracks. He borrowed one from Gordon McDonald a couple of years back which convinced him this could be the way forward but the ones he acquired were dead ducks and he's spent the last 2 months getting them to do 4 laps now they are he's got to get to grips with how they work. anyway. Let's hope he picks it up and soon. Great chatting
-
There is .......... "Get GM's they said" Although, he was a little disappointed that Waco just walked straight past him in the pits. Instead of stopping and 'chatting'

Chris’ late arrival didn’t delay the start. I’m of the understanding the start may have been delayed slightly due to crowd being late due to a crash in the vicinity of Smallbrooke. It was known at 6 that Chris wouldn’t make heat 1 and it was planned at that point a reserve would take his place because I spoke to Martin.
