I tried to get BT sport from sky and couldn't last year. It's stupid that I have BT sport through my sky box but I had to go to BT to get it.

Shame really.Probably the most entertaining rider at Berwick since Lee Complin. -
I was at the football with an ex work colleague and we got onto discussing the speedway. He was asking about the Glasgow and Berwick teams among other things and we got onto admission prices. He was looking forward to getting a discount now he is a pensioner (has moved nearer his family). He couldn't believe that for him and his grandson to go to Glasgow would probably cost him £32 plus car park (program and seat in stand). For them to go to Berwick would cost him £13.50. He is thinking about going to Berwick some meetings when my shifts allow. He is possibly looking at Edinburgh as they will be his closest track (to support the opposition).

Hopefully Berwick get their 1st league win against a team in the top half of the league to go with the draw against Glasgow. -
Edinburgh v Sheffield matches were the same quarter final's stage as Berwick. This tie was completed months later (would have been over a month without a rain-off). Peterborough racing Scunny half way through September in the quarter final's (same round as Berwick and Ipswich had completed by 1st April is a disgrace).

I think the ref was trying to add to the atmosphere by warning Nick in heat 15 (terrible decision). -

Just looking at team averages and noticed Nick has the same average in both leagues. I was wondering if there has been others at this stage of the season who have had the same average in 2 different leagues. -

We were on about that at the junior meeting last week and people had heard Berwick could be fined if they didn't name a reserve despite only having 4 of their team available (not sure if it's true).Went to this meeting due to working today and not being able to go to Berwick tonight. -
Not read the whole thread but surely the only rider affected is Batchelor. If Holder was sacked last Monday would he not still be banned for a few weeks. Would his new team not have to put a Conference league rider in until the ban is completed. I think if the riders were racing to the standard they were expected to at the start of the season then they would still be in the team.

Bandits V Sheffield 29th July Sgb Championship

How long is Lee out for? Could we sign Jacobs and Matty Wethers or Coty Garcia to replace the 2 riders if Lee isn't back soon. Could Liam come back in due to him being at Peterborough? -

I thought Kev had a dodgy meeting last night but at least he was out after the meeting trying to sort problem's out. A couple standing beside me said that at least it shows he cares. -

David Howe said a few weeks ago at Berwick that he felt ok to ride but was out for 9 days. He also said that it is probably a good thing in hindsight (to protect him from racing when possibly not quite right). -

I think I haven't put my point across correctly. I think having a team average of 40 all season only makes the strong teams stronger and the weak teams weaker. We were on about the fact we couldn't strengthen the team despite being bottom of the league. To us that is crazy. Berwick replaced Berge and Vissing to get Etheridge and Morris. Bridger's average was still 8 points at the time. -

I was speaking with some other fans after last night's meeting and they were saying we are over the average. When Berwick put in temp cover for Lewis we couldn't put someone with a higher average in. The same with Lee being injured. If we were half a point under the limit there are possible riders of near equal ability for temp cover. Surely that is a control board flaw (you are bottom of the league and 31 points behind the leaders but you are to strong). If Jye is injured I would think Matty's average is to high also. -

Is the concussion rule (FIM) the same as the BSPA rule? Did I see that you cannot change your team (once nominated or a rider gets injured) after the competition starts. I suppose Australia could name him in their team and use the U21 reserve for his races (Fricke, Holder or Kurtz). As long as Nick makes a speedy recovery. -
Maybe the promotion thought they were building to a 42 point limit after the averages changed (4h, 4a). I think this was in the rulebook before being changed to 40 points at the start of the season. They could then have decided to keep one of the reserves and get someone better in for the other reserve. With it being as low as 40 it doesn't leave much scope for the teams at the bottom to strengthen up.

Ipswich V Berwick 15/6/17

We need all teams in the league to be more flexible and help the other teams out. In the last couple of weeks I think Berwick were at Glasgow, Peterborough and Ipswich helping out with fixtures (without a full team). Maybe you could be less critical of Berwick and vent at other teams not prepared to fill a blank week.
