  1. Embarrassing - again, why are you embarrassed? You didn't say he shouldn't have taken it but your post definitely came across as though you were having a go at Harris himself, just like JT's continuous message tonight. Of course everyone's entitled to their opinion but some of the bile directed at Chris Harris on here is totally unjust imo, he always gives his all whenever he rides, whoever he rides for, he's put bums on seats at plenty of tracks and I'm struggling to think of a more consistently exciting British rider over recent years. Of course he's not hit the heights we all wanted for him when he set Cardiff alight back in 07 but I don't think anyone could say it's not for the want of trying. If you weren't having a go at Harris himself then fair enough but that's not what came across. If your point is directed at the people who have given him the chances then why not say so and use their names, instead of bashing the rider?
  2. Great post Kev, that's exactly what I thought of when I saw the thread title, he did my head in most of the time but that particular piece of commentary was gold, perfection personified. RIP Tony. Ps, Any idea where was Leigh Adams born?
  3. This grass of yours Alan, it certainly gets some love and attention, either that or you must have about 50 acres to tackle. Anyway, enjoy the weather, some sun coming our way this week, apparently.
  4. I'm sure someone will find a working one, otherwise it's going to be a long old Tuesday evening. Looks like you're on your own Paul, you are our window on the world, what a title, embrace it.
  5. Anyone do me the honours please, hopefully be able to catch some of this
  6. I wholeheartedly agree with you Mary, it's nothing short of a disgrace. My main concern is that there may be even more provocative pictures of those poor exploited women, rest assured I'll find them if they are out there. This sort of thing needs stamping on! In the meantime, do you have a link to the ones they use in the European Championship, I need them for my investigation
  7. Calm down Henry, have you completely missed the meaning of the word 'paramount'? I never said points weren't important, I said it was more important (perhaps paramount) to ensure Emil was out of the meeting, which is exactly what happened. If Adams wasn't there then fair enough, I never heard that said and assumed he would be in attendance, like previous GP's.
  8. Not making sense - do you really think he would have had any instruction from Pete Adams other than to ensure that he finished behind Pedersen, that was the important thing, points were not paramount at that time, the chance to put Emil out of the meeting was. That's why he looked for him, that's why he let him past, that's why he poodled around in 3rd place. Which part of that makes no sense? No doubt you will harp on about the point he dropped, yes it may cost him in the long run, but the overall gain was there for the taking. We'll agree to disagree if you like, been a decent meeting, shame to spoil the thread with arguments.
  9. Could it be these Golden tyres? He's certainly found something good.
  10. Just shows the benefit of the cameras, anyone else think Tai had cut across too close and picked him up. Replay showed there was no contact. Phew. Hope Tai can do that again, perhaps a cutback this time. Because he could have come unstuck if he'd been 2nd and the leader had fell/ef. The benefits of ensuring Emil does not get another ride tonight were much too big to mess around with. It's only my opinion but I reckon it's valid, especially when you see the replay and Tai is looking for Pedersen to pass him on the back straight. Anyway, Tai Woffinden, World Champion 2013. Got a nice ring to it, come on Tai, bring it home.
  11. You should watch it again then, he's faster than anyone tonight but he just let that go, very wise ride, good on you Tai. If anyone ever wonders why he has Peter Adams along then there's your answer.
  12. Lucky lad there Tai, I'm glad the ref used his discretion and didn't rob us of a potentially good race. That rerun produced one of the most intelligent first corners I've seen, brilliant.
  13. Ah right, thought it was Gomolski, sure it was a Pole anyway. Yes Lastword, afters at the pit gate, no doubt due to that first bend move, he took the other lad right out on the fence, it happens.
  14. He was a bit ruthless in that one, still, it's a mans game. Payback on Gomolski I suppose.
  15. No messing there from Gomolski, chopped the front off the other fella. Those blue pom poms look really heavy, poor girl.
  16. Great little clip that Gary, thanks for posting it, I'd be inclined to go for West Ham as he mentioned a big stadium, more likely Custom house. Either way it was clear that he did used to attend, thought his description for the American presenter was brilliant. cheers.
  17. But he's right, so how about putting your view forward instead of name calling. I'm first hand evidence of the fact that it doesn't damage like you claim, I've many friends who would testify to this. I'm sorry if you've seen someone close to you have problems with drugs, it's not an easy thing to experience, but you're being unfair in making such sweeping statements. Maybe that person would have taken whichever route they chose whether or not they had used cannabis, had they used anything besides cannabis, did they blame cannabis, who did blame cannabis? Lots of questions, no need to answer, just saying, that's all. Just like the fella said, alcohol causes many more problems in this world than a bit weed ever did, or will. For the record, I'm not a 'free the weed' campaigner of any sort, I'm quite happy just to get on with my own life and leave others to their's but if people like me don't speak up at times like these then too many folk will carry on with their blinkered view of anyone who might enjoy a different type of tipple to their own particular favourite. Each to their own. thanks for listening
  18. Don't even think about apologising mate, your posts in this thread have been a revelation, exactly what forums should be about, people sharing their views. It's great to have someone who clearly knew a bit about what was going on back then, it's not about the headlines, we've all seen those over the years, it's the incidental stuff, tales from the pits etc. Thanks for giving us the insight.
  19. What's the main issue with the polyfoam, expense, storage, or something else? Obviously it's right that improvements are constantly sought with regard to safety but we've come a long way from just having boards, thankfully .
  20. Well done Emil, sign of a champion is when they can come back from what looked like an off night and take the spoils, great ride. He must be heading for the sort of status Gollob has held in Poland for so many years. Being a national hero in Russia will probably eclipse anything TG has experienced, such a vast nation, good luck to the lad All in all not a bad meeting, good to see a different track/stadium, no real complaints with the coverage, I really like Scott Nicholls style, Steve Day is learning all the time, I can live the odd errors, lets face it none of us could do better, or we'd be doing it.
  21. Seeing the crowd shots it so good to see so many families there, creating supporters of tomorrow, looks a really well promoted venue, would love to attend a meeting there.
  22. I think we've done well tonight, I mean the thread has pretty much stayed on topic right through until heat 20, lets all congratulate each other before it kicks off big time I'm not a big fan of cars but that Audi R8 ad does have a certain appeal, want one.
  23. Don't be so pompous, I wasn't aware of his title, otherwise I would have laughed at your joke.
