  1. A British wild card is sufficient to maintain Cardiff interest.
  2. Another was Dave Buttigeig (sp) who went on to become a karting legend.
  3. I'm pretty sure it was Chris Byles who owned the site. My own bike (Dula JAP grasser) appeared on it and that's who I sent the pic to some years ago.
  4. Ivan is absolutely adamant about it, more so on behalf of Bob who he is determined should not lose his place in the record books.
  5. Given that many riders of the era used some quite colourful nicknames, I'm surprised Alec didn't. Or perhaps he did and was being ironic! Any idea if that was his real name Norman?
  6. Ken 'Pubic' Eyre, former Ace and Wolf
  7. Another awful GP. How sad that the pinnacle of our sport has come to this.
  8. Yet again the joker is pivotal. Same for everyone given the chance but still seems wrong.
  9. Adams chokes yet again when it really matters.
  10. Yep, Chris holder is really looking world class now.
  11. I mean no disrespect but in 30+ years of following speedway I'd never heard of him before the thread on here. To my mind, he wasn't a major figure in British speedway.
  12. Brilliant meeting on an all-round excellent track. Lots of great moments but Ht20 was salient. More of the same on thursday will do nicely.
  13. My mistake - I was unsure from that line-up. That must be the meeting that induced them to make the rule change.
  14. Not crap at all. Name me any Scot who could score points at this level?
  15. Really? Zagar will score more on his own than a whole Scottish team.
  16. I wonder if that is Alf Kaines who went on to ride for Southampton post-war.
