  1. Why should anyone have to have ridden to have a critical opinion? As an analogy, Barry Norman was a respected film critic but he never made films!
  2. Title holders Craven in 1956 and Briggs in 1959 were both seeded direct to those finals.
  3. Again, that's the SD channel, not HD.
  4. Thanks for the years of entertainment and here's to a Happy Retirement.
  5. Is it a whodunnit? Does it reveal the whereabouts of Middlo's testimonial money?
  6. Apart from plenty more listed earlier in this thread! Oh, and add Arena Essex too.
  7. Scottish Monarchs were neither city nor county.
  8. They can always book themselves into Scunthorpe and test their bikes there pre-season.
  9. It wasn't popular with Briggo who claimed he was blowing more engines due to racing flat-out more often.
  10. The White City appearance is tenuous. If it was anything like the 1953 event, they raced on Vespa scooters over 2 laps of the athletics track!
  11. 1st. Gareth Winterburn/Liam Brown 2nd. Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth 3rd. Rod Winterburn/Billy Winterburn 4th. Rob Wilson/Terry Saunters 5th. Rob Bradley/Darren Wilce dnf Colin Blackbourn/Carl Pugh
  12. 1st. Zach Wajtknecht 2nd. James Shanes (puncture on lap1!) 3rd. Andrew Appleton 4th. Paul Hurry 5th. James Wright 6th. Andrew Whitaker 7th. Tom Perry 8th. Tim Nobes
  13. That's not going to help endear fans to the team. I can't recall this attitude at any other track.
  14. Hopefully, he would make it around the bend(s).
  15. Nail on the head again Dean but is anybody listening?
  16. It's been announced today that Kelvin Mullarkey has died aged 67. Mostly remembered for his spells at Rye House but I recall him doubling-up with Poole in the late 70's. A real character who never shirked confrontation. RIP Kelvin. http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.1573
  17. A very well-deserved win for Lambert and an honorable mention for Bewley who is simply spectacular. Lastly, another plaudit for the NSS track - it should be bulging at the seams dishing up racing like that.
